I received this new Traser yesterday. It has a Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement with a sapphire crystal and blue tubes all around except for the 12:00. That one is orange. The way they have arranged the lume around the dial makes the watch more readable and seem larger at night. The blue traser lights aren't quite as bright as my green Traser watches, but plenty readable none the less.

The watch is nicely made with an excellent PVD coating on the case. The bracelet is nicely done and all PVD inside and out. The basic ETA movement is viewable via an exhibition back (sapphire also, I think). There is nothing fancy about the watch, it is just a good watch (IMHO) for everyday wear.

I bought this one based on my really liking the silver stainless steel version I got a little bit ago. I do prefer the SS version so far to the PVD. I tried on the bracelet (without sizing it), then tried two different straps with the watch. Both carbon fiber. One with white stitching and one without. Any opinions on which looks the best?

Nice one Mike! Tritium tubes rule!! woohoo.gif

BTW - That's the way Luminox did their tubes on the Black Ops.

That is a great looking tactical watch and I bet the blue Tritium tubes look so cool in the dark.  hand6.gifhand6.gif   In my opinion the watch looks much better with the bracelet.  Enjoy wearing your new Traser it looks great!!!  woohoo.gif

FYI, on the Traser Classic Auto in silver: Traser is sold out of the silver models. Technically, they are discontinued until next year in April or May. Some dealers may have some, but many are sold out. The black dial is the harder of the two to purchase.

Scottran,

Thanks! I will try a rubber strap as soon as I finish burning all of the carbon fiber straps I tried. subtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gif

That's a great looking watch with all the right bits, Mike.hand6.gif I like it best on the bracelet but as a second option the carbon w/o stitching looks great too. There's a lot to like especially with some sweet tubes.;)

Thanks to everyone who made a comment. Now, I just have to get the bracelet back on the watch. Not as easy as getting it off.

Beautiful Traser you've got there.  My choice would be the carbon with matching stitching.  Wouldn't want anything to detract from those cool GTLS tubes would we?

Thanks for all the input and comments. For now, I have decided to put a new distressed aviator type strap on the watch with contrast white stitching. Later, I will try and get the bracelet back on. :D cat28.gif

Hey Mike that leather strap looks sweet!!!  hand6.gifhand6.gif  I know you're aware of this but you didn't show us that strap as an option.  Anyway, I really like the leather strap combo.  woohoo.gif
