Just arrived today, DEFAKTO EINS Steelcase.

I've wanted a single handed watch for awhile now, with a minimal looking dial and not too many markings for the minutes.   Ummm, I think this totally meets my requirements.

Now when people ask the time, and if I tell them it's "half past", or "quarter to", I really mean it and not just because I am rounding off the time to the nearest 15min. interval.

Interesting watch, nice bold design!  But that poor ETA movement must be sad to have to move only one hand...subtlelaugh.gif

Thanks guys.  It's always good to know that at least fellow WIS may understand the watch choices we make :D

Some of my friends are totally interested and find the watch nice in it's somewhat sparse way.  While others just have a blank stare on their face, thinking "just the hour hand?  Why?"

DM71, I agree with your remark about the ETA probably feeling sad when I had the crown out in the first position, and could hear/feel the date adjustments but nothing to show for it.

That is a very good looking clean faced watch.hand6.gif

Don't think I could wear one though, I get withdrawal symptoms if my watch is missing a second hand.subtlelaugh.gif

GReat watch. Clean looks and unique one hander!
What's not to like;) too many watches have an incredibly busy dial these days. I get tired of them, kinda why I like the Benarus diver too. Clean and simple dial.
Enjoy tHe watch. hand6.gif

Hi Jeep99dad, no problem with asking the $.  I got straight from Defakto (Pforzheim, Germany).   Costed 345euros, 375euros in total after shipping.   But I also got hit with duty and taxes into Canada.  Also, waiting on Fedex to mail me their brokerage fees I still owe.

Watchismo actually carries this, don't know if that may be a better route for you if you are looking for one of these? - no duty charges at least.

The movement they use is an ETA 2824-2   hand6.gif
