Thanks Guys. They are getting hard to find without refinished dials.
Hope to get it in by early next week.

Looks like O-man has bitten by the
Vintage Watch Bug.subtlelaugh.gif

Favre-Leuba was a
high end company back then
and were considered to be on par with
Longines,Eterna,Movado,E.Gubelin,Omega
and Universal Geneve.

Congratulations and I love
the patina,it adds character to the
watch.

Cheers,
Simon

Thanks Guys for your kind words.
Simons actualy I've been an avid vintage collector for sometime now. As for F.L. this company has a long an prestigous history starting in 1737, when the name was registered.

Favre-Leuba are highly prized watches
in full working order.

I enjoy looking at the Caliber 253
17 Jewel movement of your 1965 Sea King.

The Twin Power that Favre-Leuba
once made were quite astonishing.
Those vintage watches had
50 hours power
reserve.

Cheers,
Simon

One intresting thing about these movements is the fact that the screws are the same throughout the movements thus macking them very easy to service, even for a no novice like me :)
