What great pickups, apeogre! Beautiful! I have just invested in two POs and I can't get them off my wrist. They are simple, classical, and do everything right. Yours is the 45.5mm version, yes?

Your Breitling - just a marvellous watch thru and thru.

But I hear ya with the comment about straps. One day you buy several. One doesn't fit. And then of course you have to buy another watch to suit it ;)

Out of interest - have a look at the Orient (or Orient Star) 300m saturation divers in yellow. Unbeatable for features and value, IMHO. Worth a look when ya feel so inclined.

<<<<<<< it is the yellow version of my avatar ;)

Cheers and congrats! IanM hand6.gif

Ian, I have not looked at the orient. I currently have been looking at Keith's new Cave Dweller in PVD. But I'm not buying anything right now. :D It is a 45.5 I already took off the bracelet. It looks much better on a nato strap imho. I ordered 4 more yesterday. Nato straps, that is.

Thank goodness it was just straps! Looks damn fine on the nato and seems to hug your wrist that way. Can't wait to see what your strap options are! I am new to PO ownership, too - and I can't stop twisting the darn thing to the light to see the myriad of reflections from the hands and the hour markers. Its a classic mate - well done.

That new CD looks pretty tasty, too. I had and sold an SS version. Just a tad too tall for me, but otherwise a fine choice.

Worry not about the Orient - it was just a suggestion from an "enabler" good sir, cos there is one on another forum now that has been for sale for a while. But I do know that the choices for yellow come down to personal preference for the shade of the color. For me - some are way too out there, and others are more subtle and to my taste. But if not for the kind suggestions of many folk on here, and the cool photographs like yours, we would not be so able  to pick and choose the ones we like.

Wear those beauties in the very best of health - and share pics often - we are all gonna be keen to see those options on your PO 45.5, and on your Breity, too.

Cheers! IanM hand6.gif

Ian, I can honestly say I've never really looked at orient watches. Don't know why, but I'll definitely take a look at the yellow diver. I have to agree, this site, and others have been terrible at "enabling" me to see watches I'd never heard of, seen or ever thought about owning. Take the U1. Never would have owned one if it wasn't for this site.
I've got some green and orange and black natos coming. :D pics will follow when they show up.
I have to say the bracelet on this watch is nice, but I think it looks kind of like a turtle on my wrist. The nato hugs it a bit better and makes it look less bulky.
