Just wanted to share my new purchase. Got this a few days ago and posted it the other day. It's the Seiko Diver 009 Pepsi. I guess it's perfect for a tool watch aside from the fact that it's in Pepsi flavor too...great with jeans, grime on the hands and dirty fingernails when tinkering around the house, in the toolshed or on the cars. Hope you like it.

Congrats! I love the dial and pepsi bezel to boot! I love it, really like the dial and color combo. I saw one just like it on the bay lately as I have been on a Seiko diver search lately... my next maybe the SKZ245, Frankenmoonster with blue dial...but I just won an auction on this one and am looking forward ot its delivery:) Not as nice as your Pepsi but I have a thing for blue dials:) 1990 model

I am negligent too. That's an outright winner, Jeff. You know I love the Pepsi bezel. Yesterday I was marvelling at just how well put together Seikos are.

Congrats for a most have watch indeed. I Will push it a bit but, that watch has one of the most beautyful case I've seen in the afordable to lo high-end watches market IMHO. You realy have to handle it to see all the curves and feel the quality. This is the BMW 3 series of Seiko. Nice clean dial, great lume, nice hands, nice bezel, great base engine . I have the SKX007K, and when I finally decided to get one from eBay for $135US, I was personaly impressed when I received it. The watch has only one problem IMO, Seiko never gave it the shoe it deserves. No SS bracelet with solid end link : ( Fortunately, their is tone of straps that fits it good a make it look like million bucks.

Your pepsi is very nice and made me realize, that their is no excuse not to have one...I will fix that hand6.gif

I almost forgot...it' a true diver, with the biggest spring bars I have seen in my life!

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the kind words, 3Thand6.gif.

Graham, welcome back, amigo!!! Glad to see your back on the saddlesmile8.gif

Brice the blue Frankenmonster is such a great hue of blue. Depending on the light angle, the smaller internal blue dial seems to have a set of rays, like sunshine rays.

Thanks, Mark. Seikos really yield supreme value, in my humble opinion. I scored another Seiko the other day and got some extra dials in different colors. anodie.gif. I think you'll like it. I plan to do some conversions on it just to see how far it will go. I'm in the aiport lounge right now and can't post any shots but will do so soon and will share with you my intended project.

Bad Bad Enablers!

:D

I've been plotting my assault on a 009 all day!

Navy blue zulu strap, sapphire, maybe leave the stock hands for a while!...

Bad bad Enablers indeed, I have the SKX009K2 on it's way!yahoo.gif Took the blue dial to match the pepsi bezel.  Thanks again for the final push BRP, not that I really needed it but I have to blame it on somebody so...subtlelaugh.gif
