Hi guys
so I have been going a little crazy lately buying new watchesmistake.gif [selling a few too:) including a favorite or  2 to fund a new watch I really really MUST have subtlelaugh.gif ] Of course, several of these are cheap or "affordable" watches... some new, others used. I received some of those weeks ago, others as recently as yesterday and today... some are already gone:) Instead of posting new threads for each as I got them, I figured I'd just save time and do a combo thread:)toon1.gifboy10.gif

1- Seiko Black Monster, USED, [sold this week]. It was a nice watch but not enough to keep it, plus I bought another Seiko more my style :) and am looking to get the one I really want... SKZ245, Blue Frankenmonster. Anyway, I ahd the BM for a month maybe, got an extra black rubber strap for it, looks great! Its bracelet as one of you predicted did grow on me and I may end up buying a used one for the SKZ 245 if I ever buy it:)

2- Another Sea Angler.. wasn't sure if I preferred the Black or Silver bezel, orange or white #s... now I know and will be flipping one of the two I own

3- Parnis 44mm Big Pilot 17 Jewels Handwind Asian 6497 Blk, new

4- 44mm California White Luminous PVD Gun Hand 6498 Movt, new

case back/mvt for both Parnis above

5- Android Men's Ninja Skeleton 2 Automatic Black Ionic Plated Stainless Steel Watch - J176244, new
Don't have my own pics yet, I have not worn/sized it... still in the protective plastic... may keep it as Santa's present to me for Xmas:)

This is a Limited Edition watch, Numbered on the side of case, exhibition case back... really beautiful.. pics don't do it justice. bracelet is not my cup of tea! It has 12 blades and 24 screws. The 12 blades are all assembled by hand. Each blade represents one hour. Dual silver-tone screws set in a single blade occupy each hour position. Black Super-Luminova hour and minute hands and a black Android logo-balanced seconds hand deliver the time.

6- Berhnardt Sea Shark 200m Driver, USED, red Dial, #27.. arrived today... very nice watch for the $. I got it used from a WUS member from Canada, so the watch is back in its original state of NC :) These are the seller's pics, sorry haven't had time to take any and my camera's battery is dying.

7- Seiko 7002-7000 A1 Men Vintage 150m Scuba Diver: (Shipped - Not Received yet) - Used

8- Parnis 50mm Automatic Black Dial White No.Men watches (Shipped - Not Received yet), new: 50mm ad a true beauty IMHO! Love the dial, case and the hands rock!

Last night, there was an Invicta show on, I felt compelled to jump on a couple of cheap divers, one for my mom for Xmas, classic SS black dial Quartz Myota mvt Mini ProDiver for <$57 free shipping & free 5 yr warranty, AND a Men's SS Pro Diver 200m Auto Myota diver blue dial also free shipping & 5yr warrany:) for <$77, which will be for my dad though he owns a Rolex diver... but always likes a new watch too:)
Invicta Women's Mini Pro Diver Quartz Silver-tone Stainless Steel Watch - J176114

Invicta Men's Pro Diver Automatic Exhibition Stainless Steel Watch - J176105

- I also a few straps coming in from pana**** for my Orsa & Parnis and a few more from InternationalWatchMan for my Orient and Parnis.. Will post those separately when they arriveThumbsup3.gif

-Oh yeah, I also got a bracelet tool and a watch case (NEW) to store all my babies:), which I just got and have not had a chance to open yet..
Seller's pics

Phew... there it is... until the next time:)... I got cramps in my fingers subtlelaugh.gif
I am looking at a couple of pieces, includiung a Ollech & Wasj MP but one I really want and  MUST HAVE as I said :) is a Hami GMT...yourock.gif

Now I would love to get your opinions on what straps would look good on the BERNHARDT and the Android...

Thanks for looking guys!

Whoa!  What a whirlwind!  Looks like a lot of fun.  Congrats and enjoy your new babies!

Not sure what would look good with the Android, but if it was mine I would try some sort of a Bond nato or zulu with some red stripes for the Bernhardt.

Please just give me a second to breath! Ouf! Man, that is a lot of new stuff.  Definitely these Parnis look amazing for the price, I cannot believe that they can sell these for that kind of money .  They look very well built and these Asian Unitas look ok too.  How is the precision on those movement? This is my biggest concern...

Now Brice, you have to go sleep a bit, and tomorrow is an other day!!!

Congrats Buddy for a ton of toys to play with for a few days...Take some time to enjoy now subtlelaugh.gif

Good lord man. Take it easy or you are likely to explode leaving bits of watches scattered about a three state area.toon1.gif

Have fun with it.;)

I was thinking about a Bond Nato hand6.gifthankyou.gif for confirming, I saw one on 3T I think a few days ago and thought it'd look good on my new Bernhardt but I didn't have it then. Now that I have it on I can definitely picture a Bond NATO on it! Gotta find a cheap one now.
I think I saw a nice black leather strap with cool red stitching on panastrap that I may be ordering. Thanks again. The Androif though will be a tougher one to dress:)

LOL caught your breath yet:) I will be the proud owner of four Parnis, the three I have in my possession already have all very good finish/looks/accuracy for the $ though because I rotate my watches so much it is hard to assess accuracy. Over a few days my Parnis reserve has been great, a few seconds off. The mvt look pretty good on those things, dials are clean and classy... All of mine were b/w 40$ and $60 shipped for the 50mm one.
I am
definitely going to enjoy the new stuff. Already wore the Parnis and Bernhardt. I like that red dial, a first for me. Now I need a brown and a yellow dial!!!:) maybe helson brown and Boschett RR yellow dial:)??
Next I am looking to get a Hami GMT Poseidon LE maybe or the Navy GMT with Bracelet.

Big Congrats, Brice.hand6.gifhand6.gifhand6.gif That's really a big stash you have there and I enjoyed reading your write-ups and spending time studying each watch.

Please share with us how you convinced the missus to accept all these newbiessubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gif. We'd like to learn from you......

On the Android, I noticed that the bracelet is very similar to the Frankenmonster's, and also noted you don't like this type. My advice? Stick with the same bracelets. They might not fancy you now but look what happened with your Seiko BM -- you eventually liked it.

I use my Frankenmonsters for heavy action (in the kitchens, warehouses, commissary etc) and the bracelet's design truly resist all sorts of dings and scratches better than any bracelet I know (except the Jubilee types, of course).

So my advice: stay with the Android and Frankenmonster bracelets. As for my fee for this advice...., ship me the Parnis 50 and we're evensubtlelaugh.gif

Wear your watches (and bracelets) in good health.

I will echo some others...Good Lord Brice!!!!

The Mailman, UPS guy, and Fedex man must know you on a close and personal basis by now.  That is quite a haul for a short period of time!!!hearteyes.gif

I agree with bigrusty regarding a need for you to share your secret in keeping the wife ok with this pace of acquisitions!!!!...Please do tell!!!   ...or maybe you just like sleeping on the couch!! subtlelaugh.gif

Anyway...BIG CONGRATS...you must be beside yourself trying to decide which one to wear with all these new ones to choose from...not a bad problem to have yourock.gif

That California dial Parnis in particular caught my eye...I hear these are really easy on the wallet and that one sure looks sweet.

Enjoy all the new WIS stuff!!!!

BRICE: yeah the mailman and I are now on a first name basis:) Well actually I don't ever see him. I get all my watches mailed to the office (don't want them sitting ont he front porch if no one is home:) )and the admin gets te packages then pings me to collect them or delievrs them... She thinks I am WEIRD.... getting packages 3 times a week:)
as for wifey..hmmm let's just say I leave her alone with her spending $ for $5 coffees, $150 hairdo's and whatever she spends $ on.:) and well I don't really ask... easier to ask for fogiveness :)... All in all, I don't really spend a lot of $ on me... I don't play golf (maybe the only bank guy who doesn't :) ), go on guys' trips, go out a lot... and like I said I did get $900 in for stuff I sold and have more to sell... so.... all in all . Not too bad or hard to justify:)
YEah lots to chose from so it takes me a few minuteas each morning to decide which watch to wear:) indeed a good problem to have..
YOu should defintely go for one of those Cali Parnis... doesn't get cheaper and they'll wow you!!!  Get a cool strap for it and you got a beauty that non WIS will keep staring at in envy! ;)

BRICE: Thanks, I actually was very presently surprised by the quality of the Bernhardt! The dial color is different too. It wears reall well, light and comfortable, kind of the perfect size, really. I like the caseback, and the bracelet has 1-piece screws for each link which makes it a breeze to size and play with:) no little screw-end lost while sizing either... the bezel while not crazy is somewhat different from other divers in the way the markers/#s are setup.

About the Missus.... well read above:) no convincing, lots of .. Sorries, making up for it... coffee in bed, , flowers... ahah!
I believe you are right about the Android bracelet, I also noticed it was very similar to the Frankenmonster's in the dual texture and link type.... I just think it looks well cheap in person... I am afraid the black may wear quickly.... so I was thinking it may need upgrading but it does go well with the watch..... and like you said the Monster bracelet did grow in me :) Good advice... but no Parnis 50 for you :) well not free anyway:)

I wore only one of the Parnis, and it is great on the wrist, very pretty, hard to capture the dial's cashmere color and its fine texture on photo.... but it is well worth the $ and maybe 2 or 3 X times that... The strap was just a little weird, suede  like material, and smelled... funny:) so it had to go:) Until I get my new ones from Pana... and IWM, It is on a Croc-a-look leather from another Parnis i had. The Parmis just has a great presence on the wrist and the mvt is pleasamnt to look at, seems to be off only a few seconds today.... I need to review that more diligently though...
well that's all for now folks! :)
Laters!
Brice
