Well, I just purchased a Marathon TSAR from someone on another forum, and I am very excited for it to arrive.  I got a pretty good deal on a lightly used example with the US seal bracelet, so I had a hard time passing it up.  I will be sure to add a few pictures once it arrives the beginning of this week.

The TSAR is a great watch. I enjoy the heck out of mine (though needs to be repaired right now, the 12 o'clock tritium vial came loose.

Congrats on a very solid diver. I have the GSAR version and like Mudhikers TSAR, a tritium tube has come loose. In my case I beat the crap out of it in Iraq, but it still ran great. Wear it in good health ThumbsUp02.gif.

You won't regret it; especially on the steel. I think it's the sturdiest bracelet on anything I own.

Wow!  Thanks for all of the kind words, I sure do hope I enjoy it.  I think it should arrive today or tomorrow, but I am hoping today so I can start wearing at around!  And taking pictures, of course.

I am torn between loving the information age, and how quickly it can deliver information to me, and the added anxiety that is now created by knowing that I am at work, and my watch is on its way to my house.

The Whole Family:

It's here, and I love it!  The size is perfect.  I am excited to see how it grows on me, but as of right now, I think I made a good choice!

Hey Focal,
Are you a Lion or do you just live there? Anyway, what made you go after the quartz version? The TSAR is quartz correct? I am thinking about a quartz but usually only get autos. Anyway, nice pictures. These are what keep me going back and forth.

Thanks,

PENN STATE

I do attend the university, I am just finishing up my senior year as a matter of fact.

As far as the TSAR goes, yes, it is quartz.  I got this one for a few reasons.
1.  It was cheaper.  Even new they are cheaper, and I got this one used, so that made the deal even better.
2.  Ease of use.  I have a Hamilton Khaki automatic that I love, and I love watching a sweep seconds hand, but epecially since that one is currently not working for me I decided it'd be nice to have a watch I can just grab-and-go, and that I only need to worry about getting the battery replaced and pressure tested every year or two.

I love the idea of automatic watches, but as a poor college student, I can only afford to be so picky right now!
