Well I just wrote a bunch and now i deleted it on accident.  mistake.gif

Anyways, I've been in the market for a vintage seiko or citizen for a while now and I finally saw one come up that I was happy with as far as the condition is concerned.

It's an older citizen chrono using the 8110 23 jewel flyback movement.  The thing is in immaculate condition without a single scratch or mar on it anywhere.  The movement looks like it was never even touched.  It's got brushed lugs while the rest of the case is polished and a black ring around the upraised crystal.

The dial is in perfect condition although the lume is long gone, and it's been keeping pretty accurate time since I've had it on, although the damn chrono doesn't reset to zero =(  Oh well, guess I will just not use it.

Thinking about getting a mesh to go with it, think it'd look sweet, all I need to do is get a measurement!

Big Congrats, deadlyappThumbsUp02.gif. I like the chrono.

To make it reset to zero, try making the counter run 10 seconds, then stop, then 10 seconds again, then stop. Keep doing this until you make 1 full turn. After that full turn, hit the reset pusher. Usually, you'll hit the bullseye.  If this doesn't correct the problem, try anoher 1 or 2 more full trips around the dial. This faulty reset problem is caused by calibration errors on an old watch, which may have some tiny gunk on the gears. I've done this a few times with my old Seiko chronos and usually it works.

If still this doesn't work, take your beautiful chrono to the clinic for some minor surgery.woohoo.gif

Looks great. Be great to get the chrono hand to reset properly. May be a little clinic and spa action would really make this one sparkle!woohoo.gif

It's a shame that Citizen Auto Chronos are often
overlooked...these are very under rated watches.

I love the orange hands against the
dark blue dial. Very clean look unlike some of the
Seiko Automatic Chronographs of the same vintage.

Cheers,
Simon
