After a period without buying anything, as I was trying to define where I should go with my collection, I started losing interest in the micro-brands, Chinese (not that I will not get back there...), and decided to definitely get rid of all quartz stuff but one (the Victorinox Maverick Chrono that was my quake companion, which by the way is my "timing machine". Suddenly, I become interested in the chronometer concept. I started to get obsessed by getting a movement with a certification so exclusive that "only" around 1.5 million movements get every year. I am not (yet...) into the "going to an AD and get the thing" business, so I started to explore the Sales forums. I became very interested in a Cyma Navy Star big and good looking GMT chronometer, and was in the negotiation process (a big and important thing for me), but lost contact with the seller, as he stopped replying my messages. Then, it was a Tag chronometer, but I could not agree in the price and the watch was not running near specs either, which was a bit worrying. Finally, I landed into my new incoming watch. This particular individual was rated TZ 80%, because of desk diving marks and a hairline scratch in the bezel, but had the right brand, the right movement and the right seller, which has been very friendly and responsive. It is smaller than the average in my collection, but actually I am pretty happy with a similar size CW Malvern Aviator, so I do not mind too much. Especially as the price was around what the bracelet alone costs... On top, it has some exclusivity (which is important for me as well), as this particular bezel is not seen often. My polishing kit is ready to work in this baby when it gets here! The first pic:

Congratulations! I recently got a Seamaster and replaced the blue bezel with the steel. Makes the watch just a bit more versatile. You'll love it

Very cool. Is that a co-axial movement or the older modified 2892? I have both and can tell you they are excellent timekeepers. I've been very pleased with my Seamasters and agree they are truly top notch and imho a great value and what they can be purchased for on the secondary market. Is this a blue Bond (2531.80) but with a stainless bezel? Shucks, doesn't matter... it is COOOOL!

It is the 1120 movement, i.e. modified 2892 with 2 extra jewels, better finish and all that nice stuff. As per my research, it is one of or the best 2892-ebauché based movement. It is a blue bond, model is 2552.80.00, so the midsize one, although it looks rather black in the pics. One of the things I learned on my research is that there are no black bonds with skeleton hands. At least this is what I read, so I was happy when the seller said it was dark blue. Another good thing: the seller is the first owner and all 3 cards with the corresponding numbers come with it!
