New a few weeks ago for me is a Ball Night Train. With 62 (always on) gas tubes this baby rocks the night. It comes in a large, heavy box that compliments the watch and the price paid. Very nice packaging.

The watch is all stainless steel with a butteryfly snap open/close clasp on the bracelet. Solid links (of course) with screws for sizing. The watch wears like it is part of your body when sized. It is extremely comfortable on the wrist. Case size is 43mm and its about 12mm thick. Bracelet links are somewhat thin, but that is a plus for me. I don't like a heavy bracelet.

Case back is nicely decorated, but no peek-into glass back. I haven't had the urge to take the back off to view the 2824-2 ETA movement. Maybe someday I will open it up. The crown works extremely well. It is a screw-down type and the easiest one to operate of all the watches I own. Very smooth.

This watch has a small GMT or 24-hour window at 11:00. It is not separately adjustable. It might come in handy for travel overseas or just as a military time indicator. The cool feature just below is a little silver triangle that turns red in the hours you should not adjust the date. Very nice feature!

Fit and finish of the watch is excellent with all of the surfaces being brushed. The silver dial makes the watch a bit more conservative overall. The black dial version definitely grabs more attention. Dial markings are 0 to 60 minutes. No hour numbers.

The watch is most impressive in the dark. I can't think of any other watch out there that puts on such a light show. It is awesome! The pictures are all mine except the lume shot. Thanks for looking!

Very nice!  thumbsup.gif

Sometimes Ball goes a bit overboard with the tubes, building block numerals and such; but this is a much cleaner design without giving up any lume.

Great pickup!

Thanks! And, I agree some Ball designs are over the top. But, I have to say some look better in person than in pictures. sponge bob.gif

Very nice Mike and much more my cup of tea than some of the Ball offering which feature tubes for the cardinal numbers. I just find that too blocky and unappealing. As a note there was a bit of an uproar when Ball first introduced this model as the 24 hour indicator was listed on the dial as a UTC. I see they have rectified that gaffe. As always you get a ton of watch with a Ball. the 62 tubes put my old school Fireman to shame...mistake.gif
