Some of you may have seen this on other boards, but I thought I'd share it here for those that haven't.

Well, this wasn't suppose to be a light Vintage mod.  I decided at the start that I wanted this watch to look like it had been thru 4 Tours of Duty, every weather element known to man and then buried with the war.

Picked up the watch with a cracked crystal from a member on one of the boards.  The crack was somewhat superficial in that it didn't actually reach the surface of the outside or inside crystal.  I decided to keep it as it went with the whole look.

Yes, I know the GPF Mod Dep buckle is on backwards, it was easier to photograph that way.  Rest assured it has been reversed for wear.

Enjoy.

The strap started out life like this...

...and after a lot of work, ended up like this...

Wow blueradish!!!...that is an amazing Vintage mod (really more than just a mod...I think you achieved your goal of creating a piece that looks like it has been through everything, including being buried with the war)!!bravo.gif

I just added a Kampfschwimmer to my collection this past week (all shiny with no wear and tear)...this one obviously speaks to the true history of this great piece.

Very nice work and great pics...thanks for sharing!!!thumbsup.gif
