Got this one in today. The new Aristo Kampfschwimmer II with its sandblasted 43mm case and diamond cut crown. No lume shot yet as it is still sunny here. The watch has a nice heft and feel to it and it is finished very well. The 22mm brown leather strap is thick, but feels like it will break in quickly. Normally, I don't wear the OEM strap. I usually switch it out. However, this strap is most likely going to stay on the watch. Inside is the Swiss Made ETA 2824-2 self-winding movement with a white on black date window. This model comes with a metal movement retainer and a signed rotor. The case has no sharp edges and it has a nice matte finish. The black dial is pretty straight forward with SuperLuminova on the markers, numbers and hands. On first inspection the lume appears to be quite strong, especially on the hands. The crystal is a slightly domed mineral type that makes it a little harder to take pictures of the watch. The watch wears just a tad smaller than its size of 43mm. Meaning it "looks" like a 42mm size on my wrist - a good thing (IMHO). The watch comes in a brown box with leather trim riveted on the sides, etc. It is not great, but does the job and keeps the shipping costs down (i.e. not being too heavy). I'd have to say you get a lot of watch for your money with this model. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the nice comments. Here are some lume shots. The hands glow super bright, but unlike my other new Aristo (3H114), the dial markings fade to a soft glow after a few minutes. Pic one is the new Aristo Kampschimmer fully charged up. Pic two is the Kamp vs. the 3H114. Pic three shows the two about 5 minutes later. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very nice, thanks for sharing. Aristo makes really nice quality watches and does not charge an arm and a leg like some other ones. However most watches are really well made. This one looks great actually, extremely readable dial and hands. I hope it is not too tall. |

This one looks great actually, extremely readable dial and hands. I hope it is not too tall. The height is 14mm. But, due to the tapper of the screw in case back it wears more like 10-12mm. Not too tall on your wrist. |

Big Congrats! I like that model very much and my score for that is a perfect 10/10. It strikes me as a very carefully-made, very well-thought out watch complete with all the bespoke details that all make sense. My score would have been 11/10 Wear it on good health |

I like that Mike though I think I would prefer no date so as not to break the clean design of the dial. |

That is like a neatly set table before a posh meal. Perfect and scared to use as it would ruin its neatness. I envy you on this one.... POSH (port out starboard home, the side of the ship the rich people would take on the way from Briton to India...the sunniest side of the ship) I love it honestly and maybe one day you never know I may get one!! |

Thanks again for all your comments. I agree on the date, but on the plus side, I can actually read the date on this watch. It is very clear. I couldn't resist trying a Di Modell Rallye strap on this watch. The Rallye has gray stitching which matches nicely with the sandblasted steel case. ![]() ![]() |
