Not really totally new, I always wanted one of these as it has that vintage classy look, there were 2 Sandoz watches on sale at the time, 1 auto and 1 manual...the auto had Swiss Mov't on it and this had Swiss made on it.
Well I won it because I think everyone was looking at the auto so I got this for just shy of $30, not sure on the movement as I have only opened it up today...please take a look. (any info on the movement would be most thankfully excepted)

I like it Neo. Like Edgel said this is a poor man's Date Just. I'm guessing the movement is an ETA 2801 as per the case back this has incabloc shock protection... and WATERPROOF (that's bold) too!dog smile.gif Enjoy it brother stix!ThumbsUp02.gif

I guess it's more likely an AS mvt. but not sure of the number.

Congrats on a nice vintage Sandoz....btw the movement is the Swiss FHF ST 96, 17 jewels manual wind up that we have discussed in a few earlier threads...very cool!ThumbsUp02.gif

Oh and many thanks for the info all!! FHF ST96 I have looked this up and it matches. Not familiar with FHF movements...will do some reading.

Yours is styled very much like a Rolex Datejust. Or is that not what you were asking?

I don't know Rolex very well; so there may be other similarities, apart from style, that he was referring to
