My new Valkyrie arrived about an hour ago. Here are some Q&D pics:

As you can see, I'm not much of a photographer but, it is what it is.

This is my first German made watch and my first watch with a Fricker case. Now I can kick the bucket as I have lived a full life.

I'm not going to list all the impressive specs for this piece because they are already posted on the Kremke site, and, I'm too lazy to type all that stuff.

My first impressions of this watch are that fit and finish are excellent.

It is lighter than I imagined because, I suspect, I am used to chunky divers like the JSAR and Eco-Zilla.

The face is very legible and that's a big plus for my old eyes.

The strap is very nice but a little short for my 7.5 inch wrist.

The lume seems very good. In the wrist shot above, you can see some of the lume. I had not charged the lume. This is the glow from just wearing the watch around the house for a few minutes.

The bezel is bi-directional and is friction tight. (I'm not sure of the correct terminology here.) The bezel is a little looser than I would like. I'm not sure I would want to rely on it for critical timing operations. Again, this is judgement is probably due to my experience with dive watches.

A word about Ian Kremke and Kremke Watches. My transaction was handled very professionally. Ian is a man who says what he means and does what he says... a rare quality in this world today. I respect that very much!

Nice one! I like their choice of crown and bezel- it makes a nice mix of diver and pilot styles.

I agree Nate. However, this really isn't a watch suitable for diving. It does not have a screw down crown and is only WR to 100M. And, the loose bezel would be enough to keep it off my wrist for diving operations.

It is a nice change of pace for me though. A lightweight watch I can button a shirt cuff over.

Thanks for all your comments guys. The Valkyrie is really a change of pace for me in that it is thinner and lighter than most of my divers.

Big Congrats, WillieboyThumbsUp02.gif.

I like the pilot/diver or diver/pilot very much. I simply love the hands and execution of the dial and bezel. The bezel is wider than the case, right?

Enjoy it in good health.

Thanks BRP.  Actually, the bezel is flush with the case.
