Those are great looking watches, Ken.  I especially like the Altanus.  What do you think of it?

EditedTom, I am really impressed with the fit and finish of the case, dial, etc (especially for the $ involved)........and while the Unitas 6497 movement is not decorated, it is finished to my satisfaction (even unfinished, a Unitas is a beautiful movement to look at).    It is not only labeled "Swiss Made";it is also labeled "Geneve"!   The 40mm (plus crown) size also makes the Altanus smaller than most watches with Unitas movements.  therefore, it looks substantial but does not have that "huge" look!  The strap is your usual, run-of-the-mill black with white stitching, but that is easily replaced.....I'm think a soft, rich brown calf or pigskin with a butterfly deployant! :dude:

Yup, I'd like to have a dime for every "run-of-the-mill" black strap installed on a watch. Heck, I'd take a nickel. :D
