Thanks a lot for the nice comments guys. I agree with you Hammerfjord, but some times one does what he must. Especially if it is worth doing it. You can actually use permanent double sided tape which is much better then glue and a lot less messy. I have done only 3 such projects and they came out all right, but for sure it is not fun doing them... But hey, I just remembered another place where they have a military dial for ETA.
