I thank you guys for pointing me in the direction of the smaller watch makers. Invicta, Tissot and Hamilton are nice enough, but it's even nicer to talk to the guy who builds your watch. I wanted a simple dress watch, so had this one built. A nice watch at a fair price. I just love it. German made 316L 42MM stainless steel case with flat double AR coated sapphire front crystal and threaded bezel, K1 hardened mineral crystal with threaded exhibition back. The case is polished with polished bezel and crown. 22mm lug width. Factory pressure tested to 5 ATM. Swiss made guilloche dial with flame blued steel Breguet hand set: ![]() Seagull TY3621, high beat 21.600 a/h, finely engraved with 11mm screw balance, long pin fine regulator and perlage on the baseplate; regulated: ![]() Gen croc strap: ![]() Thanks again, guys! Very nice! Love the hands! I had been eyeing a Tourby with those hands but couldn't manage to pull the trigger due to the cost. ![]()

It still is a great-looking dress watch but just as an input to improve the look and confirm it as a true dress watch.....you might want to consider using a smaller crown. if you do, the overall look will improve and attention will now be directed to the dial than to the oversized crown. Also, I'd consider a snake skin strap or a croc strap with tighter/smaller scales. Hope this helps ![]()

Ya know, when that strap arrived I looked at the grain and the finish and decided to start looking for heavily padded lizard with a gloss finish. I see your point about the crown, and it is a good one. I will look at that. Thanks, again, guys. Maybe I know an olde crow with a spare crown? ![]()

I ordered from the builder his "low profile" flat crown. It measure about 7.5MM in diameter and is about 3.5MM thick. Would a thinner crown of the same diameter look best? Thanks for any advice you're willing to share with this noob!![]() ![]()

Thanks for any advice you're willing to share with this noob! Tommy_boy.....I stand corrected and I apologize. I think your photo perspective/shooting angle yesterday exagerrated the ratio of the crown to the dial/case. If the 2 pics you show now are the same crown as you initially posted yesterday, then my opinion is: stay as it is....IT'S PERFECTONESS! The crown looks great. ![]() ![]() ![]()
