So I've had this watch on my short list for some time. I've been wanting a nice high quality dress watch for a while and this one fit the bill.

Being a discontinued model I've watched the supplies start to dry up and went ahead and pulled the trigger. I've been selling off a bunch of affordables that I no longer wear in order to justify the purchase.

Just arrived yesterday and I'm thrilled with it. First, definitely the highest quality watch box I've ever received. I really like the grey dial / grey croc strap color combo with brushed and mirror polished case.

It's 40mm which I thought might be a little small as I'm used to larger watches but it's perfect for this one. Wouldn't want it 1mm bigger or smaller.

Lots of cool little details too, like the little "P's" on the movement and the little bit of gold on the rotor for weight. It's hard to see but there's a crystal in the rotor with etching. One of my favorite features is the perlage on the deployant.

So, without further ado I present the Perrelet 1002/2 (Sorry for the poor pics)

Just a beautiful watch. Elegant without being ostentatious. Beautiful dial work with subtle complications (sub seconds, big date). I think you are right to say the watch is perfect at 40mm too. Nice combo of finishes on the case. That's a mighty fine timepiece. Big congrats and may you enjoy it for years to come!thumbsup.gif

Beautiful watch, WardogThumbsUp02.gif. That's a very striking dial with a big date function that I admire. Perfect choice for a dress watch for sure. Enjoy it in good health.
