Earlier I've posted on OT that there will be
three watches added to New Arrivals.

Well my digital camera batteries are now charged and
I am delighted in sharing with you some of my watches.

The watch on the left image in stainless steel
is my 1940 Mido Multifort 17 Jewel Hand Wound.

The watch in the center is my Rolled Gold Plate
Palomar from circa. 1944 which has a 17 Jewel
Hand Wound Louvic Swiss Movement.

Finally my 1964 first generation Caravelle by Bulova
17 Jewel Swiss Hand Wound Movement.

Sit back and enjoy.

Cheers,
Simon

Thank you for the kind comments, ndburley.

As I've wrote in OT,there are more watches
that will be arriving at a later date.

I am restoring the watches to their full working condition
at the moment. Therefore, I am leaving the patina on the dial
for originality.

Cheers,
Simon

Very cool Simon!...Congrats on these great new Vintage arrivals!!!party.gif

From your other post, it sounds like you are having a blast learning how to restore vintage movements.cool.gif

Can't wait to catch a look at the 2 vintage Elgin's that you are still working on and the other 5 vintage pieces that you acquired...Vintage watches are still a very foreign area to me, as I know next to nothing about them...always fun reading your vintage insights there Simon.

Hope your not missing your vintage Omega calibre 354 Seamaster that you traded for the "10" newby vintages too much.  There are times when a WIS has to do what a WIS has to do I guess.

Enjoy these newby Vintage pieces Simon!!!Thumbsup3.gif

Thank you for the kind comments, Brice and Stew.

I sell new watches for a living and collect vintage watches
as a hobby. I thought of a challenge to save myself a bit
of money by learning how to do simple repairs.

I have worn each of the three watches to work, but
nothing gets the compliments than my Palomar, with
its knotted lugs.

Once the two Elgins are completed I'll put together
a photo on the New Arrivals for everyone to enjoy.

Coming back to your comment,Stew about the Omega.
I feel no sense of loss on the Omega,it was a timepiece
that was just a bit too delicate to wear everyday to work.

I mean, putting a scratch on the crystal or on the
watch case, when opening up display cabinets was
too unnerving for me.

To me a watch or your favorite timepiece is a friend for life.

Cheers,
Simon

Big Congrats, SimonThumbsUp02.gif.

Of the 3, I think I like the one on the rightmost the best.

Wear them in good health.
