Hey fellow WIS,

So I have been busy with selling and buying new piecesmistake.gif, but been negligent with posting my new arrivals in this section.whichone.gif Work has been crazy and I mostly access the forums via my phone so I stay away from lengthy posts and from starting pics heavy thread. But yesterday (I think?)Paxman requested that Trent and I elaborate on our new arrivals and post in this section, so here I am! J I won’t post all my recent new arrivals subtlelaugh.gifbut this is about my most recent one, received Monday… the Kazimon Eintausend. I just took some pics at work during a pseudo lunch break at my desk, so they are Q&D’s in bad lighting… I used a folder as background to help with lighting and all! J I know nothing about photography and use a held-together by tape Cannon Point and Shoot that is several years old. hammer.gifNothing fancy!

I bought it ‘gently’ used from a forum member who hardly wore it, and the bracelet looks like it was never used, he wore it on a strap instead .The Kazimon arrived in a very cool and impressive Pelican case with a few goodies in it. I don’t have it there so I’ll have to take pics of it later and will add them to this thread. I also removed the bracelet as soon as the watch arrived and put it on a basic Maratac Black rubber strap with deploying clasp as you can see. Now, the bracelet is VERY well built and of great quality, it just doesn’t click for me, just personal taste, the middle section of the end links just stick out too far out so I will be ordering the other bracelet available for this watch and have Paul make me a cool strap!

My first impressions when I strapped it on were… just WOW! This is one beautiful and well built watch! It is very substantial, well finished, but just right in size and proportion and use of colors… nothing extravagant… looks just right. Like a German made car… You know right of the bat it is built to last and well engineered. The case finish is satin and that is just beautiful and less common than the typical brushed SS or even blasted… a great alternative that looks like none of my other diver cases. The Fricker case is just amazing! What more can I say, it beautiful but feels tough, well finished and smooth edges/angles...

The dial has some color to it and a fairly unique design to it without being too busy or flashy, which I do not like. I am typically more conservative so this one fits me fine. I like the red minutes on the outer edge of the dial, the red around Eintausend . It is just enough to brighten things up and make it fun without looking toyish and too flashy.I like the white circle on the dial linking all the indices. But what I may like the most are the hands. They are just cool and also different from those on my other watches. I especially am fond of the black paint on the first 1/3 or ½ of the hands. That second hand is just fun to watch sweep around the dial.

Next, the bezel… well I’ll sum it up by saying it is just right (to me)! Perfect size proportionally to the watch (and dial) overall in both height and width…. It also is simple and not too busy. I would like to see it with a brushed SS bezel instead of black, but I really dig the black insert. It is also easy to grip and turn. It turns easily but with authority, no play. Finally, I am really loving the case back, its shape and design with a special tool to open it… that’s coolJ and it looks real nice!  Plus not that it is a big criteria for me, but it is a numbered LE which is a nice little extra… you know… makes you feel special! I love that I won’t see one of these at the restaurant or the mall …. Mine is #49. On the accuracy front, it is not doing great but it is not horrible either at +15/day. I’ll try and track it over several days though.

Overall, I am really super happy with my first Kazimon, I have thinking about getting one for a while and am glad I finally pulled the trigger. Now that I know how well but they are, I will be considering finding a used 1500 and maybe another model later…J So I’m done with the talking and I’ll let you check my Q&D’s. But so let me know if you have specific suggestions on straps for this beauty. I have a great strap from Teddyhanna but it’s a tad too thick around the screw bar to fit. L

Thanks for reading.

Brice

Big Congrats on the great looking Kazimon Eintausend Brice!!!party.gif

Thanks for posting this one up in the new arrivals section...

...Like you said, you have been buying and selling quite a few pieces lately...so I'll assume that since you've posted this one up, you count it in the "Keeper" category (at least for now).subtlelaugh.gifhappy1.gif

The Eintausend is probably one of my favorite Kazimons, although I admit I like everything in the Kazimon lineup...thumbsup.gif...like you noted, a well designed, well built piece with great proportions and I think the dial design really gives this one a unique, Kazimon/german look.  Very cool!!!

Enjoy this one Brice, and wear it in the best of health for many years to come!!!!  (I've seen a really cool strap combo on this one at some point in the past...I'll try to dig it up and send it to you via PM at some point).

Brice, BIG CONGRATS on that wonderful execution of a diver. Kazimons are really lookers and have that renowned German build quality into it.

The colors are just great and like you said, just perfect and serious-looking.

Enjoy it in good health.drool.gif

Thank you guys. Appreciate it. Now that I've checked it the only thing I
would improve upon is the Lume. Was a quick check but doesn't seem
to shine very bright. But not a major deal for me.

I do think it's a keeper especially once I get the new bracelet and a cool strap on it!:) I really love it's design and feel. I do have a few others that are keepers but I haven't had time to post in New Arrivals:( like my 2254 and Blue Bond. I outta make time next time. I got another incoming, hopefully tomorrow or Friday.

Big congrats on a super looking watch.  I have never had the privilege of seeing one in real life.  They certainly look very well made.  I love Fricker cases.
Enjoy in good health, buddy, now get off your office chair and post the other newbies up!homerthinks.gif

As I had mentionned, I bough two straps for the kazi, the maratac you've seen me post and a retro rubber from Timefactors which I just ended up putting on the U1 :)
But I also got the other bracelet Kenzo sells for the Eintausend, the 5 link one.. Here's a Q&D.. sorry bad lighting inside and bad camera: more shots to come. Great finish on the bracelet as on the watch!
