Hi, just received this lovely old Roamer Chrono and I love it. I did have a mint one a few years back, but due to me (stupidly) thinking that it was too big, sold it :( :(

Anyhoo, received this one today and I'm loving it all over again:

Pretty chunky for an oldie at 46mm inc crown and it houses a Valjoux 7734 movement that appears to be keeping great time (well at least over the few hours I have had it)

It was on a Nato, but I have scrapped that and put it on a mock-kevlar, which I think suits it nicely :D

The bezel insert has gone a brassy colour, and I was going to try to source and original insert, but I actually like the brass colour and it does suit the watch.

Mark

Well done Mark, on that Roamer Stingray!ThumbsUp02.gif

The Roamer Stingray was the main competitor
against the Doxa Sub 200T-Graph of the same era.

The difference was that the Stingray was 400m water
resistance and the Doxa Sub 200T was only 200m water
resistance.

Put this in modern terms, that would be
the Rolex Sea-Dweller Deep Sea vs. the
Breitling Avenger SeaWolf.

IMO: The Roamer Stingray is a much rarer
         and highly sought after watch.

Cheers,
Simon

Big Congrats, MarkThumbsup3.gif.

I think and this is only my opinion, a good buff job at the spa will greatly improve the look. Very vintage watch for sure.

Enjoy it in good health.
