Don't think I will take any better pictures so....

I have always admired this model from Omega but thought it might be a bit small at just under 42mm, but after seeing these pics and a brief conversation with Gumba/Oscar a couple days before I jumped on this one. The purchase is 2 fold but after a few PM's with Paxman..thanks for your help the other day BTW, it may never reach part 2dog smile.gif my thinking is I may gift this to my son on his wedding day next August...plenty of time to make that decisionsubtlelaugh.gif since I just gave him my Brietling money for deposits and such for the big daymistake.gif.

We will see when I get it, but this one just looks like the all around watch, sporty yet doesn't lose anything if worn with a suit and tie.

Anyway I'm excited and will post some pic's and thoughts when it arrives.

Congrats on this "on the way" 2254.50 Tony!!!

You are going to love it...at just under 42mm there is just something about the way these wear on the wrist...perfection IMO...and as you have already pointed out, sporty but also doesn't loose a thing when worn with a suit and tie.  It's going to be hard to "gift" this one when the time comes, and if you do I'm betting you will be wanting to get one for your selfish bad self!!! subtlelaugh.gif

I can see this is an "older" vintage of 2254.50 judging from the front and the caseback, but it loses nothing IMO...although the first pic makes the seconds hand tip look a bit faded.  Would still love to see your pics when it arrives!

You are going to LOVE IT!

Thanks everyone for the kind replies....Chris that is one of the "issues" of the watch, the red has faded on the second hand, but I think it should be an easy fix.

Ah...got it Tony...I was overly picky when I finally picked up my gently used one!!!subtlelaugh.gif

Very glad to hear that it will be an easy fix.  ThumbsUp02.gif

That one is gonna stick with you or you'll get another. Truly a go to watch imho. I used mine all summer on rubber... well silicon, and will put it back on the bracelet soon enough. As already said, perfect combination of genres. Sporty, tough, handsome. Big congrats, buddy!

Tony how in the world did you go this long without a black SMP?

The black SMP was about the second "big" watch purchase I ever made!

I hope you find it as impressive as I do!

Chris...got wrapped up in the mega size watch craze I guess and always felt it would be to small....well it's on the wrist and enjoying it.

Only downside so far is the lack of micro adjustments, I dont know if I'm just an oddball...(no comments please) but i could use a little more room, of course 1 more link makes it to bighammer.gifHere are a few bad pics...gray and overcast today

You are an oddball, Tonytoon1.gif I think you'll find the 2254.50 to be a cornerstone in your collection.

Looks awesome Tony....Congrats!!!party.gif

Yes, the lack of micro-adjustments does make it more difficult to get just the right fit, but hopefully yours came with a half-link (or even two...although most just come with one half-link).  If yours didn't come with at least one, I would recommend you go on Ofrei and order up one...really helps with tweaking the fit.

Enjoy!

Wow looks like you stepped it up another notch there Brotha ....... but you always do with excellent choices of watches and especially this one. Although I like the white instead (just a color preference) for me but, all still in the same family.

Congrats on the new 2 you piece Thumbsup3.gif

Brotha I've been around here and there just checking the forums and whats out there that singsssssssssssss. Havent bought anything new or used in a year or so i guess. Actually not sure what I want next. I Have been watching some of those comedy shows ................ (you know the ones that come on and tell you to buy now or else theyre wont be any more watches left at this price ..... at the lowest price you can get them ) sounds like  one of those old car dealerships back in the day.......... Too funny.
