I've always admired these neat little chronos though I am a self professed non-chrono kind of WIS, so when I saw one pop up with the lovely blue and red handset I made the seller an offer I though he would turn down... he accepted and now I have myself  one of these little beauties.

Most WIS know the story of this watch, a reissue of a watch supplied to the Chinese Airforce from 1962-1965. I believe the Seagull reissue is powered by the ST19 hand wound column wheel chrono which is really a Venus 175. Unfortunately my variant has the solid caseback but I've included a movement shot as this really is a beauty.

As I said I'm not a chrono guy but I find a lot to like here. The watch has a strong vintage vibe being only 37mm with an acryllic crystal. The lovely colored stick hands and applied gold colored marker enhance the vintage look. This is a clean simple chrono with the two subs being unobtrusive imho. All in all a neat little watch I've been looking at for years.

A couple quick shots as the light was leaving me...

wow, she is a beauty indeed inside and out! Thanks for the MVT shot! I had a similar mvt I think in a precista chrono.
Wear it in good health!

Congrats Mark...great little watch!ThumbsUp02.gif I have had one for a couple years and they make for a great conversation piece.......and Brice the ST-19 is exactly what is in the Precista.
...word to the wise though is they can be easily overwound as with all Seagull movements including the automatics.

Congrats Pax! I missed my 1963...so I bought the Precista PRS5 earlier this year ;-) The ST-19 column wheel chrono functions just feel so smooth compared to cam actuated movements.
