Congrats Brice! I've been looking at this model: It's a beauty.
I love the blue hands (in teardrop if I remember correctly) and the vintage style all around this watch.
Roman numbers: My favorite option

Congratulations Brice!!!...and oh man...I agree, a keeper for sure!!!!subtlelaugh.gifparty.gif

Thanks for the great writeup and pics amigo.

Just a gorgeous, classy piece from the case to the dial to the hands.  Really love that strap on this one too!!!thumbsup.gif

These offerings from Steinhart (really across the entire lineup) have so much great design, build, and overall quality for the price of entry.

Awesome pickup...enjoy!!!

Thank you guys. It's indeed a beauty and wears well with my new dress shirt today:) The size actually is not an issue, fits under the cuff and it's diameter sort of makes a cool modern statement that works well. I got complimented on it today at work which is a first! The strap is truly awesome and am amazed it came with watch. I'm really digging the glossy finish of the dial, which makes the hands and numerals really pop.
The crown is super smooth to operate and it's a joy winding it. I also took it off a few times to admire the mvt thru the exhibition back.
Steinhart makes awesome watches indeed and the price is right!
Thanks again!

I'm not one for pure dress watches, but that puppy will wear with everything (except a wet-suit)!  CLASSIC!!!

Brice, this is just me....try a high lustre black croc/black alligator with black stitches and then you'll surely appreciate how dressy that watch can be. Don't get me wrong --- the brown strap fits it perfectly but you can change its personality by going with a black strapdrool.gif

Of course, feel free to disagree, amigo.thumbsup.gif

I don't disagree at all and do value your input! I actually contemplated the of a croc strap but don't have a black one. I do have a super nice Steinhart brown croc strap with deplyant clasp I was gonna try but it may be too think for such a large watch.
Do you have any specific straps or brands I can look into for such a black croc strap without spending a fortune...

I think Hirsch has them ready made but there are others for sure. I've seen Jeanna's work and she might have an answer. I used to use dress watches a lot in a past life and really favored black croc, black alligator and even black snakeskin. The plain/smooth leathers just don't do it at all when worn on a dress watch, IMHO.

You've got to be ready to spend a little bit more because the more expensive types keep their sheen and lustre much, much longer than the cheaper ones....whose luster vanishes after  few months or so.

A deployant buckle would be perfect for your new Steinhart so that the leather strap doesn't break that much from daily use. Also makes sense to buy a strap that's just a tad wider than the lugs because leather at the lug ends that frequently comes into contact with the lug horns ---- flares like a trumpet and for this, a slightly wider strap at the lug ends tends to stay in shape longer.

Hope this helps, amigo.thumbsup.gif
