I don’t think this watch needs an introduction, but Fed Ex delivered my Shark Diver a few days ago and it surely didn’t disappoint.

This one is from Peter Helson’s (Newly arrived and now available) 3rd batch of Shark Divers and is the PVD Black/Black/C3 model in this series.

This Baby is totally monochromatic (no other metal finish showing while wearing this one) and all business, down to the white on black date wheel. Fit and finish is as usual, “SPOT ON“!!!

As you can see, Peter switch from the mesh (from his 1st and 2nd batch Shark Diver’s) to a bracelet. I love the mesh that came with my 2nd batch Shark Diver, but this bracelet is very comfortable and just as important (IMO) balances the watch on the wrist extremely well.  I love the feel and heft.....

The dimensions are basically the same as the previous batches; 45 x 18 with a 24mm lug to lug strap width, but the overall length of the case has been shortened by a few mm’s.

The engine or movement in the (3rd batch) Shark Diver's is Miyota's 9015 which has a "Hacking" feature (?).

BTW, when you sit the watch on it’s side you can see the “H” pattern in the links of the bracelet….Good One Peter!!!

C3 is Stellar!!!!

Can't seem to get this smile off of my face!!!!!.......ThumbsUp02.gif

Have a Great Week End everybody!!!!

Thanks stew, if you check out Peter's Web Site, he's got a few different/additional combinations available.  Including a really nice full lume white dial and bezel (bezel isn't lumed though) as well as a few others.

I think this 3rd batch is progressing very well....and doing as usual a great job!

A very cool, massive and serious looking diver there Lance! Kinda classic design, but with all the extras that make it extra coolmini me.gif

You don`t really get the size of it, untill you see it on the wrist, chunky.

Thanks and yes....ThumbsUp02.gif...since I work through out the night I love that the C3 burns/lights up really well!!!!

Btw, I noticed you're from Surprise. Small world, I was on contract securing this large project up in your neck of the woods.  I lived on this Project site for a year and a half.  You might recognize the White Tank mountain range in the back.

...and this is one of my favorite photos "Waiting for Dinner".   I took care of this abandoned Mustang Mare for about 7 months (this was her fattened up and I gotta say, this was a first for this Hawaiian Boy...LOL) .  We found her a home a month before packing up.  Named her "Sugarfoot" for her one white rear hoof...

Since we didn't have any services (like water, the project ran totally off of generators), I had to bring everything in for her (and she drank about 15 gls of water a day...LOL).

Dinner time; Alfalfa Hay, Apples, Carrots, a bucket for her Oats and her bucket of water (filled three times a day....mistake.gif).  Oh and the white stuff on the ground is Diatomaceous Earth (Purchased at the Feed Store, not the swimming pool stuff) to keep the scorpions away from her food.

Sorry for going away from watches....But seeing where you're from, brought back some great memories......ThumbsUp02.gif

Thanks Mods,

Lance

Lance thanks for sharing all the detailed pictures of your Helson, I want one of these so bad in the white dial with blue markers although I know that is an older model.

Thanks, have you seen the full lume white dial (with blk skeleton hands) and white bezel insert.  It's absolutely a stunning piece, however the one thing is the pip on the bezel isn't lumed.  Other then that one little thing, man what a watch!!!

Thanks a lot, appreciated it!  Peter is doing such a great job with his watches.  I only wish I had the expendable income so I could purchase the Sharkmaster as well.

Btw, short story; “Once Upon a Time, a Long, Long, Longer Time Ago” I was part of Continental Airlines new hires to work their Air New Zealand passenger service and baggage handling contract in Honolulu.

After working with the New Zealander’s, I will say what an absolute pleasure it was in assisting them, as well as working with Air New Zealand's Passenger Service Managers and Crew.

I remember a girl (from New Zealand) traveling home who got stuck in HNL International during the Holiday season (no rooms available anywhere, in fact people were sleeping wherever they could find in the Airport.  Always made the front page during the Christmas Holiday travel season). Called my parents, which immediately opened their doors to her. I finally (after cashing in a few markers as well as passing out a few of mine as well….LOL) got her out in only a few days.  In all honesty, I think she wanted to stay a while longer.  Because my folks had a beautiful home, a few blocks from the ocean as well as being kind of like a mini resort, with Pikaki flowers growing along my old bedroom windows.

A few weeks later, while working our flights. Someone told me I had a parcel in the back office. Her family sent me a box with a thank you note packed solid with Racks and Racks of Lamb.

My friends and family had one heck of a BBQ. They sent so much Lamb that Ma was sharing it with the Family.  This is the kind of memories that brings a smile when I think about it.

Thanks for sharing, Lance. Yup, kiwis really love the ocean and any real estate near the water commands a premium even if it's just a peek to the ocean or water. Lamb? Racks and racks? You lucky duck!

If you have a project in NZ anytime soon, and if you can bring the truck of your avatar along, let me know.

IMO, both are extremely comfortable. Two different looks, however I’m glad Peter came up with the bracelet with this batch since I decided with the PVD Shark.  Give's it a more serious look (?).

I think the mesh looks really well or much better with the SS model. But, it all boils down to a personal preference kind of thing though, because both are well made and as stated very comfortable.

Thanks Rich, I didn't notice this, till someone pointed out that the eye of the dragon looked cool peeping over the watch. It's great when things unintentionally works out...LOL
