Freshly arrived today, I've been seduced at once when I opened the box This "Carré" or square is one of the few models Revue-Thommen been creating from some new-old-stocks movements dating from them last inhouse production: In 1961. Mine has has a brown dial: I really like the warmth it gives to the watch. The top sapphire crystal has a fine blue reflect due to the AR coating. My dial wears the number 119 : This watch serial is apparently individualy numeroted and this detail is adding to the luxurious aspect in a nice way. It is also worked out in sun-rays as a hand-fan around the visible skeletonised and decorated movement. The case of only 38X38mm wears in fact bigger than that, as the 48mm diagonal-crosssing and the 12mm thickness are giving a very good wrist presence. It is also 48mm from lug to lug tips and It don't wear small at all on my 63mm wide wrist as showing on pictures. For sure, if the case was round and also 38mm, it would have been a whole different story but a square case seems perfect for this type of size. The watch is mounted on 20 to 18mm genuine aligator straps with a signed buckle: Very sweet and giving a luxurious look. The crown is signed also as often on R.T watches. Revue-Thommen isn't new on the watch market: It all started in 1853 at Waldenburg(Jura/Switzerland) and was taken over by Gedeon Thommen in 1859. You will find a bunch of infos there:http://www.since1853.co.uk/ From 1998, those NOS movements been reassembled, skeletonised and decorated to fit in the top of the range of Revue-Thommen. I simply love the skeletonized movement with "Perlage" and "Côtes de Genève" decorations with the fine blue screws. On the back, there is a half-moon sapphire glass showing the movement. The incabloc spring is there, even the movement is old. The rotor is engraved with "Production Manufacture" in gold and showing some very light spots from is age you can observe on the picture: After all, it is allready 50 years old... The automatic movement GT54(first named T54) has 22 jewels, 19800 bph, 42h power-reserve, doesn't have a hacking second and there is no date either... For the lume addicts, this is not the type. Who cares, it's a piece of horology history and that's all I wanted  NOW! THE PICTURES!!!

Well, as you pointed out, the lume sucks!!! But, other than that, it is just STELLAR! Mostly into divers (as you know:0) But have a "square" watch myself, for those suite-days, but nothing as sweet as this William, like it a lot. Congrats and enjoy my friend!

Thanks guys! Square watches have some special attitude...I like them! It's my third after my Gevril Submariner and my Zenith. Well, Rolf, I'm not often dressed-up either...
