I grabbed this 47mm Debaufre Nav-B off watchrecon.com last week for a great price, but I knew I wanted to bead blast the case. So within an hour after it arrived I broke it down and prepared it for the blaster.

The inside of the case back is nicely finished with the brushed swirls. Below you can see the massive movement holder that makes up about 50% of the weight of this watch, but without it the watch would feel way too light.

The pictures below you can see the crowns 2 rubber gaskets for water resistance. There are no rubber gaskets in the tube going into the case, but the stem gaskets fit tight in the tube and I wouldn't be worried here when washing the watch with soap and water. The case back gasket is a bit thin and I may look for a slightly bigger one if it will allow the case to screw down correctly. I don't plan on swimming with this watch, but I like a water tight watch.

Below you can see the case and parts after the bead blasting. I wanted a darker finish on this case so I turned the PSI on my compressor up to about 110 and went over the parts a few times. I use a fine grit glass for blasting which produced a smooth and bright finish, so turning up the PSI just allows the glass to hit a little harder, darkening the finish a bit.

There were some dark marks on the inside of the case that I cleaned with watch putty, below you can see the cleaned case walls and cleaned the sapphire.

re assembled

Here is a better perspective on how 47mm really looks from a few feet away.
