Had one of these some time back, but sold it. (was the first model from the mid 80`s, and in black, and was the first real watch I bought for my own money way back) And have missed it big time ever since I sold it. A real tool diver (although quartz ...) So, bought the "new" version yesterday, and love it. Been feeling a little sentimental ever since, hehe. This model has been the most selling divers watch from Citizen for years, but now they have stopped making them, for some reason? And they are getting a bit harder to come by already. ![]() ![]() Last edited on Thu Sep 1st, 2011 08:08 am by FnuSnu99 |

Is this a 38mm or 40mm case?/size] |

Thanx u guys, for the kind words. I just love it, a real no-BS design, that does its job. And as the first edition I had for 17-18 years or so had a quite "sharp" corner on the depth sensor, this newer design has a completely different machined case, and is much more comfortable on the wrist. And Jeff, it has a 40mm dial, and is 50mm including the depth sensor on the left side (and crown) And 24mm lug width. And aprox 19mm tall. Only thing I think should have been better, is that it has a mineral crystal, and not sapphire. Another neath feature is that it uses three different batteries, one for the analog hands, and two for the depth sensor and digital stuff. So when the analog part "dies" eventually, you still have the digital watch for quite some time. On my old one the digital window lasted me almost a whole year before they shut down, after the analog was out of juice. (didn´t want to change just to see how long it actually lasted) Will of course die quicker if one uses the dive features often. And lume is at Seiko standard! All in all, a great and iconic dive watch imho. And this one I´m never selling, that´s for sure. |

Here is a picture of the first one I had (sold it to a guy in Brasil, around jan/feb I think) And it didn´t loose a beat from when I bought it in the early 90´s or so, even though it has been to hell and back. A really well designed watch. That now is finally on my wrist again ![]() Last edited on Thu Sep 1st, 2011 05:36 pm by FnuSnu99 |
