This Amphibia is a real beauty. Matches up now with my other two. I love the white spot seconds area and the all white indicies. Only nit to pick with this one is the crown is a bit hard to unscrew/screw. I blasted it with some compressed air and it got better. I dunno, maybe a tinie, tiny, bit of machine oil on a toothpick placed on the threads might help. It does work better now that I blasted it. Beautiful Russian, Michael! Just shoot about 5-6 squirts of WD-40 down that stem tube. That'll loosen it up! :P

I know WD-40 is a penetrate and can work its way into places maybe it shouldn't be. So, not knowing a safe lubricant I won't do anything. :):)

Tom, WD-40 is ok? Will it go into the movt and watch itself via the stem? :?Is that is ok? I have no idea about it really. If it is ok, I would do that to a couple of my vintage watches. :) pacifichrono wrote: Beautiful Russian, Michael! Just shoot about 5-6 squirts of WD-40 down that stem tube. That'll loosen it up! :P

If it is ok, I would do that to a couple of my vintage watches. :) I believe Tom was messing with me. 5-6 squirts of WD-40 would be a lot. Certainly enough to find its way into the watch movement and other places. I wouldn't recommend WD-40 for your watches. At least I wouldn't use it. In addition to being a lubricant it is a penetrant which means it will work its way into areas maybe you don't want it to in a precision watch movement. That said, it is not the stem that needs the lubricant. It is simply the threads inside the crown that need it. By using some compressed air, I was able to blast out some grit or burrs that helped smooth it up a bit. With repeated turning last night and today it is working much better.

The lumn is good. Not great. But, good. Super Luminova is used on all three models. However, the creme dial only has lumn on the hands. The black dials are fully lumned. The dials glow nice. Its that hands that are a bit weak. Something I find a lot now. The hands glow, but not quite as bright as the dial. As for pricing, you need to check around. Average price is 180 euro. Some higher and some lower. All three colors are limited to 500 produced. This model is not widely available in the states. If you are wanting one, PM me and I can tell you where to find one here or in Europe at a reasonable price. FWIW, I don't believe pacifichrono or Island Watch can get this model through regular channels.
