Been awhile since I've gotten anything in or posted here.. My A1 with the Miyota 9015 came in this morning. Wow, very substantial piece but surprisingly it wears really well. Off the wrist I thought it was going to feel large but it's not. It's almost perfect for my ~7" wrist.
The only annoyance so far is with the misaligned bezel insert. I think out of my entire collection I only have ONE watch with a perfectly aligned insert. Oh well.
The bezel on the A1 is pretty damn solid. The action is smooth and there is no back play on it. Once it clicks to the next spot it's rock solid. The dome is deceiving in pictures. It's not as tall as it looks in pictures. Feels just right..
This is my first rodeo with the 9015 so I'm going to keep my eye on it. So far so good!! party.gif

Looks awesome, and very nice on the ss bracelet too!!!thumbsup.gif

I think you will find the 9015 Miyota to be a very robust and accurate movement too (at least that's been my experience).

The well done dome on the A1 is one of the coolest around IMO...I still intend to try one someday.

Big Congrats, and enjoy your new arrival !

Thanks! It was a toss up between this at the Helson Shark Diver 40. I'll eventually get the SD but the overall look of the A1 sang to me a bit more. I'm glad I went with my first decision.
To add to my first impressions.. the lume is CRAZY!

Looks great, excellent choice. An area watch maker may be able to realign the insert for you fairly easy if you so chosethumbsup.gif

Lovely watch, nearly took the plunge of a bronze version. The dome on those things are crazy but in a good thing.

Wear it in good health.

I "zeroed" out the watch at 1115 hrs yesterday and have been wearing it for almost a full 24 hrs now as of this posting. I'm very pleased to say that so far it has only gained +1.5 secs. ETA what? 278.gif
*note I'm referring to the standard grade 2824-2*

Just wanted to do a week update on the A1. I will have to say that the A1 with the 9015 by far is my best regulated "from the factory" watch I have. The watch has only gained a scant 9 seconds in a week's time. The total includes 48 hrs on the winder with a 6 mins on/30 mins off cycle and the rest on my wrist with normal day to day activities.
My best 2824-2 is +4 secs a day from the factory.
