Not really a new arrival cuz I'm working on it for another WIS so I will have to give it back eventually...

Custom AR coated domed sapphire, same size as the 42mm planet ocean Sapphire in case anyone is wondering, my customer likes the noticable blue AR so I'll keep it installed but the Omega Sapphire is not quite as drastic...
The domed sapphire was necessary as the dial to crystal clearance is really close and the second hand was rubbing on the flat crystal...

I had to "adjust" the movement ring a bit to keep the movement and dial centered and firmly in place when using the crown.

Also a new swiss decorated 2824 timed and adjusted within a gnats ass of dead on.

There is a new set of snowflake hands on the way that will finish off the look nicely.

It's actually a really nice build when it's put together right and the essence of the snowflake sub is captured well in this homage.

Great work Chris!!! bravo.gif thumbsup.gif

Seriously great work putting this one together...love the raised/domed sapphire, the case, the dial, and those sweet snowflake hands...including adjusting the movement to give that spot on timing.

Really sweet homage build all the way around IMO!

thanks Tony! Now you know why I was cursing like a longshoremen about 2824/2836 keyless...

Made me so mad I had to stop and work on a 6105 seiko for a while just to make me feel like I knew what I was doing... subtlelaugh.gif
