Very nice Russians Oscar. I think I've seen other variations of the "Flying Tank" that have some sort of aircraft on the dial...I might be loopy though!!

You are correct. The other three of the four original models have the airplaine imprinted on the dial. This one is the only one printed in English however.

Dedicated to the famous Russian WWII ground attack airplane IL-2 Shturmovik or Flying Tank. The famous IL-2 battleplane was called the "Black Death" by the Germans for its fighting strength and invulnerability. More than 36,000 of the IL-2s were produced during the War. The watch comes in a hefty 43mm satin stainless steel case with the Iliyishin 2 aircraft image on the face of the watch. The large diameter back cover is clear to display shock resistant movement.
