O worked this out between Ken, himself, and myself. A three-way trade! I met Ken at the Renaissance last night in Scottsdale where he bought me a beverage and brought me this great looking Russian Buran watch. (Sorry O, no pics allowed). The crown was a problem for Ken. But, for a guy who drives a SAAB and uses a Mac, it seems normal to me. :D:D:D The lumn is excellent and the watch winds very smoothly. I dropped a Graf strap on it for now. The only goofy thing about the Buran line for me is the bezel. Having the red mark is fine, but it moves too freely to be of much use. Why they put it on their watches, I don't know. It uses the tried and true 3105 movement which should run for over 50 hours on a full wind. My Aviators all have gone over 60 + hours. I like that model! :) I think the 3105 is based on the 3133, without chrono functions. All 4 of my 3133s run 60 hours or more. :) |

My other Buran Flight (slightly different version) has the same bezel...........the only thing I can figure out is that it was used by Russian pilots to fly Russian airplanes.........so accuracy was not that important when you know you are going to fall out of the sky anyway!!!:D If only the Russian airplane were built as well as their watches!!!! The smaller version uses the Poljot 2614 caliber: Movement: Poljot 2614 caliber with a shock-proof device, hand-wound, diameter 26 mm, height 4.3 mm, 17 jewels, accuracy -20 to +60 sec/day, 38-hour power reserve  |

Yes, Marc Frankel told me that the Russian's used to use that red dot to navigate in their airplanes. I can't imagine it. Wouldn't those old planes vibrate, etc. You'd think the bezel would be constantly turning in such an environment. But, then I have never flown an airplane. :D |

Another Watch on My End Of the Trade Arrived Yesterday....a Trias Cushion Case ...17j eta 2824/Automatic...My 1st Trias and I Must say it is Very well Made Made and Very Easy to Read  The Crystal is Nicely Curved..Strap is Generous .. Thick Leather in an Aviator Style and the Movement is Superb w/a Gilted Signed Rotor...Allin All a Winner IMHO      |
