My Seiko Auto Military SNX427 has just arrived!

I luv the damn thing--the strap, the dial, the everything!  I'm so happy I could ________! :D:D  I am one happy camper!!!!!

Oh, yes--if it makes a difference, I did get the black, but the navy is also fan-tas-tic! Looks great with a maroon strap, too.  See!?!

Thanks a lot, guys.

I know I'm going overboard about it........who knows why?  :)

Am serious about maybe, at least, the strap changes.

I don't think you're going overboard at all. I think that's the first thing any of us do w/ a new watch, be it a $50 Alpha or a $5000 Panny. Hell, changing the look w/ a different strap is half the fun!

Enjoy it T, BTW, how big is that anyways? I want to get my wife a beater style watch that she can wear instead of her JL, but she isn't too into the bigger watches.

THX!

38-39mm--really hard to tell when that close

However, it doesn't play that large and I have just a 6" wrist.  I'm with her; if the size is 40+ then, no matter what, I walk away.

It just looks SO neat on the wrist.  If you don't have one, and she doesn't like it . . .  ;)  :D

Sled.........according to pokemonyu's site, it is 36mm plus crown (14mm thick)......it is a nice, rugged watch at $62.90 shipped on pokemonyu "Buy-It-Now".  Strangely enough, the one's he auctions, usually go for more than that!  They come in black, beige, dark green and dark blue dial.  When searching Pokemonyu's site, use "Seiko Aviator" rather than model #....

Great looking watch, I think it might be a bit bigger than she likes though. I'll run it past her and see what she thinks.

Thanks for the info T and Ken, I appreciate it!

Sled..................try this ZENO at 35mm...it is a great timepiece and very inexpensive.  Fit and finish is superb....comes on SS Oyster bracelet but I changed mine out to a brown croc strap w/deployant.

This is the other watch tny got that she raved about!

David,

Just grab one of the black dial and you can't be wrong as black blends with ALL straps! As for size for a lady, if you wife wears watches of 35-36mm, this one is not of a big diff!;)

You will not lose any money for this! If she does not like it, just keep it for yourself:D:D:D OR.....sell it here or other forums. Any SEIKO is not very hard to sell as they are always high in demand in the market!;)

Jacky

Congratulations! A cery cool watch! That's one of the ones I wish I could wear, but it's too small for my giant wrists.  I love the satin finish on the case.

Thanks Ken, sorry I didn't see your response above. I also took a quick look for that Zeno you pointed out, very sharp! What's the model # for that one?

Thanks for all the info folks, I hope to make my wife into a WIS someday, but she prefers pendants :D

Dan, the size of US army issued watches are of this size too. I guess that is for "tactical" reason? :P:P:P
