Received a VIXA Sea Power automatic today from Shane Delaurian. I saw him offering a couple of his watches at PMWF as asked what he was getting rid of… turns out the VIXA was on his hit list. That sure made me happy!!

Shane was kind enough to send the Sea Power on a nice rubber strap…hhhmmm…vanilla, and the extra buttery soft VIXA strap appears untouched. So far, I can’t even imagine sullying it with my putrid emissions… so that may just stay in the VIXA pouch.

Specs:
  • 48mm case diameter
  • Mechanical automatic movement optimized by Vixa, date, 25 jewels (ETA 2824-2)
  • Extra crown at 9 o'clock blocks the bezel from rotating
  • 200m/660ft water resistant with screw in crown
  • High grade, solid stainless steel casing
  • Sapphire crystal
  • Solid case-back
  • Unidirectional bezel
  • Black genuine leather band; size 24mm
  • Luminous hands and numerals
I am a bit confused, as I have seen both mineral and sapphire listed as the crystal material. Perhaps Tony or another Sea Power owner can provide more info. This is a large watch, which wears much smaller than its size. So far very comfortable. Fit and finish is excellent. And, of course, it is orange!!

PEACE!!

Pax.

That's a beauty! :cool::cool::cool: I really like the black bezel with the orange dial.  Super bold! :)  I'd like to see a pic of the back if you have one.

Dan:)

BTW, if you're not familiar with Shane Delaurian's work have a look at his web site. The link is below. Shane hand makes custom straps and is quite the artisan. I've been kicking around the thought of having one made but will probably wait until he begins offering waterproof straps. Here's the link:

Pax,

I have one too! In fact I think I bought it long before the name VIXA became popular. Actually I had another one and sold it. :)

Ok according to the VIXA company, they told me that they actually used sapphire for the first 100 peices of this model. After those 100 pieces, the rest of actual production are mineral. However those 100 pieces, the case back is written only as NETTUNO, 500ft and not Nettuno SEA POWER, 660ft. Cos those 100 pieces were like prototypes accroding to VIXA company hence they used the case back of the previous model, the Nettuno Sport which was rated only with 152m(500ft) WR.

Here is the VIXA Nettuno Sport:

Click on the link below to see more of this Nettuno Sport:

But later I saw in WUS, Ernie was selling the SEA POWER with both sapphire and mineral. So did they made more with sapphire crystal or not, I am not sure. Maybe you can email them to ask again.
