This superb Invicta watch arrived in a trade with Oscar. The watch is impressive right out of the box. It is probably the heaviest watch I have ever held short of a solid gold Rolex President. The bracelet is massive - at least  1/4 inch thick  by 24mm wide from stem to stern. The clasp is a pushbutton type. It was stiff at first by now it works just fine.

The Bezel is standard red and black with lumn at the 12 o'clock position. Turning it is hard. Harder than I expected. But, it may get easier with repeated use like other Invictas.

The dial is sort of a black sandy finish. It can even look a tad gray in the light. Lumn is excellent when charged with an LED flashlight. It is very strong and lasts for several hours. That's a major plus for me.

The sizing of the bracelet was a challenge, but I got it done with no hicups. I had to use a small hammer and punch to drive the pins out of one side. The bracelet is so wide, you can't use a regular screw-in bracelet jig.

The finish could be a bit better, but overall I am very happy with this watch. It ranks right in with the Invicta 9937 and 2014. Definately, it is worth the current asking price.

Thanks Tony. I've been wearing it now since last night and I am now used to the weight. It actually wears quite comfortable. I think the width of the bracelet helps with the weight. So far, I have no major quibles with anything on this watch.

Mike, enjoy the Scooby. I love mine. Just a big hunk o hunk o watch!! Despite the negatives surrounding Invicta, they do sometimes hit one out of the park, and I think the Scooby is one of them at the price point it can be had for.

Enjoy!!

Thanks! Some are having problems with the bracelet (pins coming out). But, I haven't heard of anything else. I think someone here has/had a crown issue. My crown works fine. It is definately one Invicta to consider.

Crown problem was reported while unscrewing and moving to position two. Apparently the difference between positions one, two and three was less than distinct!! Mine has had no crown issues although I did lose a screw the first day out...not an issue as I repaired it and i know the thing was still sealed as I beleive I lost it while performing aerials off the local pools high dive. Other users have reported the pin issue to great dissatisfaction which goes back to QC and CS.

Has anyone seen this:

Note Paxman aerials are akin to falling off the 5 meter board!!

Regarding Oscar having the Scuba as trade fodder, I should say that I have traded and/or sold a number of watches that others wouldn't call fodder material. They were really nice watches that I simply didn't want for whatever the reason. In this specific case, I know Oscar isn't overly fond of Invicta, yet on occasion he gives in to the latest "beauty" from Eyal, then he regrets it. :D When that happens I am only too happy to accomodate a trade. :D:D
