Got one of my b-day watches a bit early... I'll probably get one late too...

This one I pulled off the Slop for what I consider to be a fair price. This is my first Croton, and I must say so far it seems a very nice watch. Big heavy diver, though really too blingy to be a tool diver. Very solid and heavy with a nice heavy bracelet. ETA 2836-2 movement, sapphire crystal, exhibition caseback and of course the pineapple color. More a faded yellow to me but I do think I like it. The dial is very nice though the sword hands are a bit plain and I wish the second hand had some lume on the tip. Lume seems pretty good with quite a patten erupting from the luminous pips. Chapter ring has 24 hour markings with 24 in red.

Overall I think I got a nice shiny one...

I am dubbing this watch the Noriega as I don't think it has a name and I see it as being too pretty for a Beast or Monster designation. Those of you old enough to remember will understand. Thanks to Jeffr for his opinions which helped me pull the trigger...enable me and happy b-day to me... early.

Great watch Pax!!!  I almost bought one but held off.  I have had nothing but good service from my Crotons and they have great customer service.  Nice pics too.

I like it.........only had one Croton in the past (wife's).......it broke.  GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE................not fee or return shipping bullS**t.  Answered the phone.........professionally handled.  Also handled the "repair" on a lady's watch for Jacky, and they simply gave him a new watch..........turn-around on their CS, both times, less than 2 weeks!

Couldn't find it on the SLOP...................what was the ticket and how big?

I figured Croton was a safe bet what with the lifetime warranty. I am impressed with the quality as well. Here's a link to the item. Of course, I used the obligatory $30 discount code.

I am very happy to see Croton "toning down" their designs.  They seem to be a very reputable company but have been EXTREMELY glitzy and blingy in the past!
