Going back ..my first big purchase was an Omega Seamaster ...but it was Quartz !!! Now this had always bothered me because I tried to save a few hundred dollars buying the cheaper model.... and I justified it because I could just throw it on my wrist and I wouldnt need to set and wind it....Although I have a few nice peices I did not have a certified Chronometer...So I went and got what I always wanted...in black...It is all it is made out to be...This is one fine watch

Here is a picture of your movement based on the eta 2892,  Omega caliber 1120 they can call it that because Omega really modified, and decorate there movement as you can see.cool10.gif

adjusted to fine position I understand. But what do they mean by temperature?

The next three test periods determine how much the rate varies between three different temperatures — 8°, 23° and 38°C. Excessive changes in the rate could show that the balance-spring alloy is not up to standard.:D

And believe me... the man works for his money and has made a great success in the Northwoods. They come from miles around to wonder at the variety of fine autos he offers for peanuts... A true legend!!

CJ may not admit it but I think he's hoping I'll go blue though at that price range there are others that come to mind for me... I am conflicted because this, for me, is an iconic watch which I know I must possess...

Great watch, I love mine and wear if often when I go abroad.  Don't kick your self to much about the quartz Omega, a few of my friends have then and use them as there every day "go to" watch, and they would not think twice about it.  My father wears a Quartz Omega also, and he would not give you a nickle more for the auto, but he gave me my first Rolex when I turned 10.  I never said he was consistent.  Congratulations on a fine watch!!!:D:D:D

Terrific watch!  It is a great feeling finally getting what you have wanted for a long time.  Glad to see that Omega really modifies their movements.  PositionsxTemperature produces some interesting adjustments.  6 is the most adjustments to any of my watches.  Enjoy.

I guess you could say I am a liberal on some things ...but in other ways I am very conservative .....I would like to see more two parent families...I think kids should have more disipline...I think the economy should be able to let the moms stay home and the dad make enough money ....I like free enterprise...I love baseball and without the designated hitter...etc. etc. etc.

What i really meant is that D( Politicians especially "Splash") are from what i understand more likely to be r living off  of inherited money. I have voted conservative from the time i was old enough to vote and I work hard for my living. Also i agree with your stated values.I think the problem is that politicians see extra taxes as a way to fund more programs which means they have more people beholden to them and thus their power is increased. So taxes and programs multiply and useless programs are never retired.Politics is seen as a career and not a noble sacrifice one makes for a limited time to benifit the common weal.:X The founding fathers did not consider it a way to make their fortunes .

The founding fathers considered it a way to loose fortunes.  In a legislated society a way to secure profits is to legislate.  If any party really wanted any of those things you gentle man were talking about, it would have already been done.  Look at peoples actions not there words, that defines a person.  I was raised in politics and was made a KY Colonel at age 18 by the Governor and Secretary of State 3 years before I was legally eligible, retoric gets no one any where.  Ideas are what moves things forward or backward.

now that you are a colonel.  how is col sanders?   and will open a chicken place soon?   just kidding.  as for d and r.  the richest memebers of the us congress are all democrats not republicans. and the poorest you guess it are R's  it is a misnomer to think d are poor and r's are rich.
