After getting my GMT Master II I realized I wanted something with a similar look and feel that I could bang around. I saw Christian was thinking about letting his Ocean 7 G-1 GMT go and jumped on it. I thought it would also be a good opportunity to check out an Ocean 7 and get one with an ETA movement in it.

Christian did a great deal and even sent some wonderful chocolate which I am giving to the wife to placate her. She thought I bought the same watch twice! Christian was great to deal with, and the watch got her post haste. Many thanks to you, Christian!!

The specs per the Ocean 7 website:

CASE
• Brushed 316L stainless steel
• 42mm diameter
• Lug spacing: 22mm
• Height: 13mm
• Unidirectional 120 click rotating bezel
• Screw down case back
• Screw down crown
Water resistance: 300m/1000ft

Crystal
Sapphire

Movement
• Swiss ETA 2893-2 automatic

BRACELET
• Brushed stainless oyster style with sold endpieces and screw links

DIAL
• Matt black with C1 SuperLuminova markers

First impressions:

Very solid and sturdy

Nice bracelet and case.

Kinda like the 42mm better than the 40mm

Clean dial with nice hands

Pretty good lume but not great.

I'm gonna let it run a bit and get familiar with it and let the Rollie wind down finally...

Congrats Pax and welcome to the O7 club!  The pepsi bezel would have been the one I'd jump on - if you hadn't, I probably woulda!

I can believe your cousin, cj.  I believe he is the very 1st person that I have run into that has used the purchase of a Rolex to justify the acquisition on another watch!!!!  toon1.gif  Livin' the life! :D:D:D
