When I was on the lake yesterday I was thinking (as usual) about another watch. I have been considering an Explorer homage as well as doing a Seiko diver mod. One of the guys over on WUS sent me a link to West Coast Time for a modded Seiko. It was a plongeur style and I was thinking of a Type I/Type II mod so I poked around the WCT site. Awhile back I had been looking at the M75 hand wind Val. 7763 chrono but others came first. I figured what the heck, I'll shoot Howard an email. Sure enough he had one left! So that takes care of my desire for another "bezel Type II" style and the Mercedes hands of an Explorer! 2 birds with one stone so to speak. :D So much for the tattoo fund, LOL. Thanks guys! I have a "thing" for hand cranker chronographs: Endura chrono-stop from the 70's (gift from my grandmother when I was about 12, 7 jewel Swiss pin-lever movement that needs a cleaning, no watchmaker will touch it...) Poljot Strela reissue 3133 Poljot Okeah reissue 3133 Poljot "Polhart" 3133 Poljot Sturmanskie (needs regulation bad!) 3133 Alpha "Newman" ST-19 :D
