On Thursday July 26, 2007 I ordered this watch from Steinhart in Germany.

Almost a month later, I received this watch...

I guess it's close. It does have the same size case, crown and hands. Maybe something was lost in the translation? mistake.gifmistake.gif

Night and day...  a SS type A flieger is what you ordered and you got a PVD type B?  Course the one they sent you goes for 40 Euros more than the one you ordered...  :?

Sorry to see you didn't get what  was expected, I can imagine the anti-climax upon opening the box.   Are you gonna return it?

Well Chick Congrats are still in order Buddy! If it's any consolation I like the PVD Flieger better.....it is very stealth and tactical imo and like Steve said a more expensive modelMy 1st experience was not stellar with Steinhart but they corrected any problem I had....does the PVD version have a decorated movement?watch2.gif

I feel your pain, Chick. You better get them on the blower, do some reaming and expect some quality CS. Please keep us updated. I would hope Steinhart Germany would hook you up properly. Good luck man!!

I'm going to keep it. If they were in the US I would return it, but I don't want the hassle. Don't get me wrong, I do like the watch, so it really doesn't hurt as much. I guess I will just have to buy another watch. I have already found this Aristo from Gnomon watch. BTW the movement is highly decorated on the Steinhart.

Good decision on keeping it and a nice Aristo to boot.  Does the movement look like this or more elaborate?

I still think they need to be made aware of their grievous error and in reality you shouldn't need to buy another flieger... that is unless you really want to...toon1.gif
