Zeno WR 300m from longislandwatch.com ETA 2824-2 I thought I could have written this one with my hands tied behind my back until I looked at the pictures. I now have now idea what in the hell I have. The bracelet and case are ones I have never seen before, maybe because I thought I looked at this watch 5 or 6 years ago and never gave it a second glance. The 300m rating has been achieved with out using a screw down crown, and yet it moves with very little effort. I like the clasp form what I can see in the pictures, and the screws on the bracelet are a nice touch. The rest your guess is as good as mine, maybe someone that has it can chime in on it. ![]() ![]() ![]()

You have a divewatch that shares a case w/ the DOXA 250Sharkhunter. Earlier models did have a screw-down crown, but did not have your modern 2824 movement. The older Doxa/Zeno diver made do w/ NOS "lo-beat" 2452 movements that did not hack or have a quickset date feature. Dr Pete's http://www.doxa300t.com site has quite a bit of information on this pair. Cool little watches, think you'll enjoy it! hand6.gif

Thanks guys! That is the watch that I thought I was getting, and the one I looked at years ago. This one has a much different bracelet and clasp. Bezel is the same though. I think Doc wrote that in 02/03 but I forget have not read it in years, prob. need to thanks.

I have the very same watch from the very same source. I received mine about three weeks ago. I was also surprised to see there was no screw-in crown, but I was pleasanlty surprised by the hacking feature and tthe quick-set date, as I read in a Doxa vs. Zeno review online that there was no quick-set date feature. In fact, I was wondering if there was something wrong with the watch, as I could not screw-in the corwn, and figured out there were recent improvements made after reading a few more articles about this watch online. Within hours I had the bracelet removed and had a dark brown leather strap installed, which give the atch a very elegant (but not stuffy look. I think it's a very good watch for traveling. You can swim with it, dive with it and also go out for dinner with it. I really like the orange. I've gotten compliments on it from anyone. My one complaint is that it seems so small in comparison to the Zeno airplane diver. After a while 40 mm. cases start to look smallish - even if comfortable

Congrats Eric... I was gonna ask how the 40mm looks/feels - for me, I like at least 43mm but sometimes they can 'wear' larger. Wouldnt mind getting one of these if it did...

Sold my Zeno to Clayman (..has a very cool divewatch site). Wrote him back in a panic a couple of weeks later begging him to sell me my watch back. Clay had mercy upon me, and returned it w/o a struggle! He'd taken some gorgeous photos in the meantime though. My watch... (but Clay's excellent photography!) hand6.gif ![]() ![]()
