I really had a great day going yesterday ( untill I shredded my achilles tendon ) I found 3 new arrivals waiting for me ... an Omega seamaster 2255.80 as well as a Citizen promaster echodrive and a Russian pilots watch ,,,,This seamaster is a keeper ....I flipped 2 blackfaced ones already but this one Ill keep .....Its a 42 mm blue faced chronometer ...I thought about the co-axiel movement but its 700 more dollars and it will have to wait .... The promaster is a brown dial version of the model many of you alredy own and the Russian is a chrno hand cranker ... I took some Q&D's

Congrats CJ, great pickups! I have the black dial Citizen and the same Okeah Russian chrono. I like that version better than the "purist" one without the Sturmanskie on the dial. The WUS Russian forum disagrees with me but who cares, I wear the watch! By the way, a Watchadoo is the perfect bracelet for it :D

Cheers,
Griff

Three in a day, and not a looser in the bunch.  Wish I could see that Seamaster dial in the sun!

You must be under heavy medication cuz, because  YOU ARE SHOUTING!~!

What a banner day and I too am sceptical about you hanging on to the Seamaster. I've seen plenty of Omegas come and go through your hands... It looks beautiful and like Danny I want to see it dazzling me in the sun... if we get some sun this weekend let's do it!

The Russian is sweet. I've long admired Griff's and think that's just a beautiful design.

And a back up Pro-Master you sly devil... you know that thing is an A1 top notch master beater.... plus you can do calculus on it!!

Congrats on a banner watch day and regrets for your having to spend three hours in my ER... This too shall pass.

So...you're a wimp...man up and straighten out those shots! subtlelaugh.gif

You're right...a break has a much better chance of a complete mend than a tendon tear!

I broke my left ankle in 6 pieces about 23 years ago... had internal fixation, cast for 3 months... loads of fun.   I did it while playing volleyball in the rain.  Slipped on the wet grass - my foot went one way and my leg the other.  I reached down and felt my foot off to the left. Saying to myself that doesnt belong there, I yanked it back in place....  all of that and I never even felt it - beer is a wonderful thing (and I didnt spill a drop)...

Bottom line is I feel for ya CJ... But it works fine now - except everytime it rains, my ankle lets me know its time for a beer....
