My mom bought this for me today.  It's a graduation, birthday, and 'getting a job' gift!  It is really cool, and exceptionally light.  So far, the Swiss ETA movement is running about -2 seconds.  Not bad...we'll see how well it keeps time the rest of the day and into tomorrow.  This watch originally came on a black leather strap, but I had the local Swatch store change it to the aluminum bracelet - it looks much better!

One question though - when I went to set the time, I accidentally wound the crown backwards briefly.  This caused the second hand to tick backwards until I wound the crown forward again.  Does this make sense?  Can anyone explain this to me?

A cool looking Swatch... congrats!   What you described is a 'pseudo-hack' method - you can synchronize the second hand that way on movements that don't hack normally.

Thanks guys!  I'm going to wear it again today...

It really picked up some time over the night - running about +18 seconds since setting.  WHOA!  Should this concern me?

Great new watch!! I got a swatch automatic for my wife as a stocking stuffer one year (pics pending). They're  lots of fun with style and art thrown in for good measure.  From what I read, when Swatch made automatics for the 90's they put in a mov't that never went into another watch. It was exclusive to the Swatches.  So there's another feather in your cap.

Congrats!

I wouldn't be concerned.  Autos take a little time to "settle in".  I have a Doxa GMT Caribbean that has the ETA 2893-2 Auto movement in it.  It was never as high as what you have described, but it was about +5sec/day when I first got it.  That was back in Jan '07.  Now, it has gained about +17sec in 2 months!!  It has really gotten quite accurate.

I would wear it and not be concerned.  If it is still rather fast I would get it regulated in several months time.  Just my
