I've been a bit slow in showing my latest arrivals. These have all arrived over the past couple weeks.

Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Mad Cow- bought off the bay, a lucky snag.  It was listed with a mispelled title, no box or papers, and a low starting price.  Threw the seller an offer and he accepted.  Watch arrived in perfect functioning condition, and needed a 1hr buffing and brushing job to get her looking new.

Stowa Seatime Prodiver- bought from SunnyK, great transaction.  It came with a blue bezel, which I sold, and the stock bezel.  I'm waiting for a Brown and Red bezel to arrive from Stowa. Still on the fence with this watch.  Can't get excited about.  Heavy solid watch, wonderful bracelet, but still a candidate for flipping.

Seiko 6138-0049- Bought off TZ from Bigwatchguy.  Great transaction.  The watch functions perfectly and keeps incredible time for its age.  Resets flawlessly every time.  The case needed a full refinishing and took a good 3 hrs to do.  I'm really pleased with the end result, the case looks incredible.  Touched up the hands, cleaned the dial, buffed the crystal.  Waiting for an aftermarket bezel to arrive from HK, but might leave the OEM bezel on there for an authentic vintage look.

Fortis Cosmonaut GMT- arrived today, bought from TZ.  Arrived in NIB condition.  Despite my disappointing first experience with Fortis, I couldn't resist the look of this watch. So far I'm quite impressed. The crystal is non-existent.  Incredible AR.  The day-glo orange elements are too bright, a subtler orange would have been better.

Thanks Guys!

It has been a great few weeks.  The Mad Cow has to be my favorite of the bunch, and also one of the best bargains and most satisfying purchases in my WIS experience.

Great stuff! Love that Ball.

You'll have no trouble moving that Stowa should you decide to. That one remains in my ever-evolving mental list of "must buy at some point" watches.

Definitely empathize with the feeling of not bonding with a watch though. I bought a Doxa 750T Sharkhunter earlier this year that left me completely cold. Flipped it within a few days. Aside from the completely sub-par lume on the dial, there was nothing really wrong with it, certainly very nicely made, but man talk about zero emotional connection....

Thats funny!  I am considering trading the Stowa (or selling and buying) for a Doxa 750t Sharkhunter.  I know some were made with bad lume, it soundls like you got one of them unfortunately.

The emotional attachment, or lack thereof, is something that cannot be explained.  It is either there or it isn't.  Oddly, the Stowa is looking better every day, so I'm not making any decisions until the brown and red bezel arrive.  That might endear it to me.

Yeah. Real bummer, especially since I had done a lot of research into the issue, and was personally assured that my watch would NOT be one of those.

I've seen 20 dollar Chinese homages with better lume, and the issue on their forum was always played down as "it's good enough...you're not in the know if you think otherwise".  Exsqueeze me? A dive watch of this caliber must have at least marginally decent lume....this wasn't even close.

If I would have been more taken with it, I may have asked for a replacement, but it was just quicker to flip it and move on.

C'est la vie.
