Broke out my light box and Canon SD1000 Digital Elph today to snap some shots of this Gruen I received in the mail on Wednesday.  It was made at Gruen's world-famous "Time Hill" factory in Cincinnati in the early-mid 1930s.  The stepped case (which accomodates a round movement with the rectangular dial design) is gold filled, and the 15-jewel movement was made in Gruen's Swiss factory.  This 70-75 year-old sweetheart is holding up a lot better than I am!  Check out the domed crystal in the last photo.
