Well, I did it, I pulled the trigger on a black Debaufre Triton last night, I just couldn't stand it any more.  That makes 3 for Christmas, the Monstrum (which is wrapped up under the tree, darn it, the new Bernhart Globemaster, and now the Triton.  I never really got a chance to check out the Monstrum my wife grabbed it so fast , but the Globemaster arrived under the radar.  I was going to save that for my Christmas watch to myself, but since I pulled the trigger on the Triton I decided to give it a try today.  So far it is running just a tad fast (+3 over 8 hours) and has the same fit 'n finish as my Corsair, I am quite pleased.  Fred says he is only making 60 of the new Globemaster because of movement availability.  I wanted one since they came out, but the original blue/orange scheme was a bit too much for me.  This black/yellow is very nice.

My wife got me the TZ watchmaking course and the Level 1 tool set for her present to me, I am psyched!

Cheers,
Griff

Here's a stock pic of the Globemaster, still didn't get a chance to take a wrist shot, been shoveling snow most of the day:X

I have to say, I am really liking this Globemaster.  I have a Corsair and it is pretty much the same case/bracelet/bezel, but the added GMT complication from a non-GMT movement is cool.  It is easy to set the GMT hand to a non-existant time zone though, but other than that, it has been running great all day, and I pretty much gave it a workout shoveling all that snow we had.  Like the Corsair, the dial lume is so-so, hand lume is very good.

I can't wait for the Triton, but I will wait until Christmas to wear it.  Plus I ordered an O7 PloProf style strap for it too, I saw the combo over on WUS and it looks great!

Cheers,
Griff

I have been reading through the first level of the course, looks like a decent coverage of the basics.  I can see after doing level 2 that I'll be buying broken watches by the pound on the Bay to play with!
