It was over the moment I saw it. The California dial started talking to me. Gotta say I'm glad it did. This is truly unlike anything I've had in my collection.

I received my Dievas Vintage Kampfschwimmer today after ordering it Wednesday evening. Now that's just superb!!  And it made it Mission Impossible to wait until Christmas to have at this one! Anders from Gnomon is a breeze to deal with. Got the sweet Christmas deal exras and a nice Christmas card in addition to this beautiful watch. Thanks Anders!! 3T is lucky to have such a friend at Gnomon.

What can I say? This is a great homage and a sweet watch in its own right. All the bits are there with massive cushion case, monstrous domed acrylic crystal, California dial, blued hands, 26mm wire lugs and the rock solid 6497. The dial and lume are so warnly done so as to give the watch a true vintage look and feel.

Spent the evening relaxing with this and a nice fire. Look for more pix and impressions in the Gnomon section after we get better aquainted...

WOW!...Congrats Mark that is a gorgeous watch! I think one is in my future now since I have heard your thoughts...that acrylic crystal really makes that a unique vintage homage imho!

and Anders is truly a great guy...I am very happy he chose 3T to call home!

WOW!  What a unique watch.  It is a model of technological simplicity you would find in a Mac.

Forget the Hamilton I was looking at. This watch kicks major a$$. One of my grail watches is the Panerai Radiomir 1936. I think I will save the save the $6500 and get this.
