LET'S GET IT STARTED #2183:

Just heard an announcement from the FBI about their new task force to apprehend and prosecute a jewelry store heist gang with over 50 recent thefts from prime location jewelers on the East Coast.

They apparently have a method of operation which leads these gifted fighters of crime to believe they have discovered a true "gang" of highly crafty jewelry thieves.

One of the charcteristics similar in all of the heists is the tendancy of these master criminals to select only the finest in Swiss timepieces for inclusion in their hold ups.

Care to take a guess which brand "they" have decided to "specialize" in?

Come on. Take a guess.

Rolex?

NOPE

Omega?

NOPE

Patek?

NOPE

AP? Possibly Panerai? How about Breitling?

NOPE

These slick criminals have decided to specalize in Movado!

Jeez..................................:?:?.......................Movado?

I don't know about you fellow WIS, but Movado is in my estimation one of the easiest and most often replicated Swiss watch brands out there.  I've seen the darn things selling for $795.00 at Best Buy and a darn fine replica selling for $30 on the corner. Dang if I could discern the difference.

Admit it.  If you were gonna risk spending a really special amount of time with new found "friends" in a Federal Rehabilitation Facility.......................wouldn't you choose something else?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict that when they capture this devious bunch of master criminals they are gonna find a whole bunch of hardened misfits speaking English as a THIRD friggin language and a bag full of Movado watches that they are STILL figuring out what do do with.

:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

Just my humble opinion of course.:P

Anyone ever read "The Gang That Could'nt Shoot Straight?" by Jimmy Breslin ?

Hmmmmm??????

Yeah O, but................

Do your "local" criminals get the prestige of having the finest domestic law enforcement agency tracking THEM down?

HA!

I swear that when this unravels and we find out the details, we are gonna find a bunch of roving gypsy clans, livin 10 to a Days Inn room and not a green card amoung em' !!

I just LUV the holiday season!  That special need to give just seems to cause EVERYONE to go a bit goofy.

;);););)

Bah! Humbug!

I loaned my ONLY copy to someone (??) and now I am lost!

I used to read it almost monthly.

Even if you don't have paisan blood or have NO connection to NYC, the writing by Breslin is just the best!

Suppose I will have to weaken and go on line and order another print if I can find it.

I can still "smell" that kitty cat under the sidewalk!
