I lost my little girl Brandy last night. She is a border collie. My wife and I dont have kids so she was our baby. We had her for almost 12 years. She loved to go everywhere with me. I would say "lets go for a ride" and she was so happy to go in the truck. I cant believe it hurts this much. I already feel lost. We did everthing together. I just always prayed God would take her in her sleep so I wouldnt have to make the decision. I going to be rough for a while. I miss her. Scott

Remember all the good times and keep them close to heart. I have no children so my cats are my kids. I have lost a few pets over the years that affected me more than the loss of some persons. Just let your self grieve.

Scott, Sorry to hear of your loss. I have a couple of dogs myself and would be devastated, as if I'd lost a human family member, if anything happened to them. I know what your going through, so just cry when you need to, there's no shame in it buddy. I lost the one of the best dogs I've ever had about 10yrs ago and it just tore me up.

I lost my beloved cats a year and a half ago. Both in the same week. Even though I now have two new cats, I have never gotten over it. It is very tough on you. I fully understand.

Scott Hey Scott, have you heard about the book...."Rescuing Sprite" author is Mark Levine available at most bookstores. My understanding is, the book was written about the situation you are going through......might be excellent and comforting reading.
